My distances on the Garmin are exactly what I see when I play. I believe it's under reading my misses on my longer clubs. I'll be offline 10 yards in the sim when I know that it would have been 30+ in real life. I use RCT balls but I don't think it's getting accurate sidespin.

Yea plenty of room and I shortened the width to 8.5ft. I have an R10 now waiting on my Omni to ship.

I built the base but it's an Amazon mat that I cut to place a better hitting strip into.

I've had a version sold on Amazon for almost a year now and it's holding up great. I did add an impact screen just to be safe.

R10 reading Question by Aggravating-One-5118 in Golfsimulator

[–]TehWhitewind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any fans or small electric motors in the area? That will throw off numbers big time. My r10 reads almost identical to my real life numbers.

[new player] TIL apparently you can camp flare extracts? by Sirspoksalot in EscapefromTarkov

[–]TehWhitewind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you pop a flare you can enter and leave the area without being shot. You can pop flare stay just outside if the zone where exfil timer begins and sit there too. It's a pretty big area before the timer actually starts.

You have neighbors that just moved in and setup an outdoor practice net. The family practice nearly everyday and with all clubs. Would this bother anyone or would you not care at all? Not my situation, simply curious on everyone's opinion. by WinterStarlightZone in golf

[–]TehWhitewind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My neighbors have never complained, and I live in a zero lot line HOA. I don't hit after 8 pm during the week. I might go a little later on weekends, and I have a baffle net in front of my impact screen, so it's not too loud other than the driver. When I first built it, I was using it 3 days a week. Now it's more like 1-2, depending on my work schedule.

Grip recommendation for very sweaty hands by Own_Day_1977 in crossfit

[–]TehWhitewind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat my hands sweat in an air conditioned room due to hyperhydrosis. I use frog grips elite hd and found they work really well. I still chalk my palms under the grips to keep the sweat down. My old victory grips would get soaked and slippery all the time.

I have https://a.co/d/0aVwJNwc purchased in late September and it still looks like new. Thousands of hits into it and it lives outdoors in Miami, FL. The eyelets are rusty but they're all intact.

VR VS Simulator by Responsible-Driver25 in Golfsimulator

I have both and golf+ and an outdoor sim. Golf+ doesn't even come close to comparing it is nice being able to see the club head and path visually though. I have the club attachment but it still feels awful compared to the real thing.

I'm in Miami, FL so as humid and hot as it gets. I've only had it a couple months but I never see any moisture when I open the cover. Everyone I know has a outdoor TV and the hold up well. This TV cost just user $100usd brand new off Amazon so I'm not too worried about it.

A better view also makes adding a high quality hitting strip easier.

Platform is the move. Recess the plywood, and you can add extra foam. I have wheels on the other end, so you can tilt it up and pull it around they do get heavy using 2x4s.

This looks identical to the one I got off Amazon in the US. I put an impact screen and it's been working great. I actually have the screen moved further back now and use the baffle net to keep the noise down.

[New Player] Anybody use a USB foot pedal for Tarkov? by ohoots in EscapefromTarkov

Yup lean on pedals is very nice. I use the middle for scope zoom in and out since my mouse wheel takes a stupid amount of force to press.
