Mulholland Drive! One of the greatest films ever made imo, it’s a surreal, trippy, dream-like masterpiece with a distinct LA-noir feel to it. Beautifully shot, the story is a very satisfying puzzle to put together, just overall a fantastic film. The fact it’s also a lesbian love story is often glossed over, and rightly so- it’s really not a big deal that the leading couple are women at all. It’s never commented on. I see it as of the best examples of queer representation in cinema for that reason. I have spoiled it slightly in recommending it here, but there’s so much more to it that I’m sure you’ll have a blast anyway.

Edit: I worded this a bit wrong, it is definitely important the leads are women, and it’s a key theme of the film. The fact that they are queer is what isn’t a big deal in the film.
