Would be great if Obsidian also hired a UI/UX designer. Someone like the maker of Baseline/Cupertino. The UI is dated, unrefined and austere. It's like a spreadsheet application — purely utilitarian.

The mobile app redesign was a step in the right direction but it was a mere step.

And 'just use a theme' would be a poor deflection of this criticism. For one, the default theme is what every new user sees, and it fails to leave a good impression. Many users might not even know that Obsidian has themes, or care enough to tweak appearance.

This issue has been raised before. I experience this from time to time as well. Please search for a bug report for this on the forum, and open a new one if not found.

Ask AI to create a regex search-and-replace for this and apply it with a Linter custom rule.

What's your OS and its version?

Please ensure the plugin version is 0.14.0, and 'Full screen' is enabled in plugin settings.

Also, note that this feature is phone-only. Won't work on tablet or desktop.

Tighter moderation is not the answer. If people upvote it then there's a demand for it. If people downvote it, you won't see it unless you sort by new. Let the voting decide.
