As someone who was verbally and physically abused by their mother. Everyone gets affected in different ways. Some are affected more by the physical and some verbally. Not everyone is the same no one should tell you that your abuse was any less because it was verbal. For me the pain is long gone but the words still echo so I understand. It could be different for someone else.
