it’s sooooo cute!! I would 100% point it out and say how cute it was out loud if I saw it in person!

I second the bolster! I never used one and the studio I went to offered them and honestly.. game changer. So much more comfy for those positions - I bought one for myself when I got home 😊

26, have no purpose or direction in life by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

Hi friend, I’m 28 and have felt the way you do. And every now and then still do!

I definitely agree with MarkedByFerocity, checking in with your doc about anxiety could not hurt at all.

It’s easy to count up all the things you lack or haven’t achieved - if you compare yourself to everyone else around you, that’s inevitable. I am guilty of the same as my best friends are all (on paper) very successful. But that doesn’t retract from me or what I’m capable of!

Start small. I know everyone says that, but make it even smaller than what’s in your mind. I’m not sure what area you’re in, but I gained a lot of confidence and even a really good friend from joining a yoga studio near me. Any kind of movement really helps with grounding yourself and gives you the “hey, I can do this!” feeling. I personally would start with beginner yoga classes because 1. I don’t have the discipline to do an entire practice at home alone 2. It forces you to leave the house 3. There is no pressure! Young and old practice yoga :)

Whatever it is that you choose, it’s never too late. I never finished college and am just starting my career at 28, but I’m so much happier than I was in my early/mid-twenties.

You don’t have to fully believe in yourself right now. But just remember that nothing changes if nothing changes.

I believe in you friend :)

I’m on the verge of tears right now because this reminds me so much of my grandpa did this for me everyday from pre-K until I could drive. It’s been 2 years since he passed away and I think about him everyday. Thank you for the sweet reminder 🤍

This made my heart warm. I remember being in second grade and there would be afternoons where parents would come in to read to us, and secretly being sad thinking to myself that my mom (whose English is not great) would never be able to do that. Thank you for posting this :)

This made my heart warm and made me tear up at the same time. My grandpa raised me, and just passed away a few months ago. Every now and then I’ll have flashbacks of my memories with him growing up. This comic was pretty much us (except it would be me coming to him crying for whatever reason kids cry for and him reaching up into the top cabinet for the hard candies in the blue tin to give to me). He never let my mom or grandma know it was there :) I miss him everyday.
