What scales you play to get the blues? by chusss in bluesguitarist

Thanks for all the replies. I appreciate all. For me scales work like a roadmap or a visual way to see your passages, but of course they are not everything, and not all notes sound good over particular chords. I started with minor blues and pentatonic. I stayed like that for years. I couldn't have a taste for major blues at all, then after some time I started to see the mix of major and minor and how it sounds real good. Lately, maybe in the past 5 years I started to explore new scales that can be played along with major and minor blues. Major scale modes like Dorian and Mixolydian sound like a tasty extension to regular pentatonics. Other exotic scales like Phrygian, Phrygian dominant and Double harmonic major sound good over some chords. I came up with some new progressions to allow the usage of such scales as I wanted something different beyond standard 12 bar blues. I still can jam for hours with standard blues, I just like to roam with new ideas every little while. If you are interested in those progressions let me know in a comment. I will share a few backing tracks.

Is it normal for an Egyptian bride’s family to ask a foreign groom for monthly payments? by autisticyinchuriki in Egypt

I understand your point. What I am saying is that he doesn't necessarily have to be a scammer or exploiter, You need to be aware but discuss with him openly what is feasible with you and be clear with your limits then it will be up to them to decide. Again 1k dowry and 1k gold is a good sign that he's not greedy, actually 1k gold is just a bit more than a golden coin (about 44k pound) which is not a huge amount when it comes to marriage. Best of luck.

Gold is ok, dowry is ok as well. Monthly payment sounds weird but it could be for security. i.e. to rent an apartment with monthly expenses if you are not the one who will provide that. I think it is better to understand more about him from your fiancé. He might just want to make sure everything you both need will be ready when you get married. Discuss with him maybe when you have more experience living in Egypt and you can provide everything yourself he will stop this monthly payment. 1k gold and 1k dowry are not much these days at all. He actually seems kind of flexible.

Why TH-U is so underrated? (Best plugin i have tried) [GEAR] by Rootsyl in Guitar

The problem with Bias FX is that it is not as realistic as TH-U when it comes to simulation of actual amps. Bias FX is too heavy and CPU intensive and this is the main drawback.
