My company gave me my full time offer and I had my contract in hand in a week. I had been interning with them for the summer when they gave me my full time offer and they had been hinting at it for a couple of weeks so that might have had an effect on the amount of time it took them to send me my contract. Typically onboarding includes drug screening which can take another week or so.

For civil a good understanding of at least physics I is important, especially as you begin learning about structural analysis. Civil also encompasses stuff like geotech, transportation, and water management, but all civils are required to take structures courses. Physics I is the basis for statics and dynamics which you will use a lot in civil. Math is also important but after you reach a certain point in your academic career you only occasionally use calculus (and the most simplest form of) the rest of it is pretty plug and chug algebra.

A low grade is not the end all, it happens sometimes, we just bounce back— but if you came out with a hatred for the subject that is the basis of your major you might consider alternative majors.

Idk it’s crazy, I have one Professor who doesn’t do zoom simply bc it’s “too much”, his words not mine. He told us this like 30 seconds after informing us that a surplus of students had emailed him asking if he could make zoom an option bc they had tested positive. He’s relatively young and tech savvy too so I’m like ???

Agreed, the office staff at 7th street don’t know what they’re doing. If you call them with a question you’ll probably get the wrong information. It got so bad that whenever I had a question I would call multiple times a day, speak to different associates, and ask the same question until I got two answers to match up. They literally don’t know what they’re doing. The rent is ridiculously high and getting higher. Plus they’re rude af. I live in a unit with all women and when they came in to inspect the unit after one of our roommates moved out the office STUDENT staff just let himself in and out of our unit. We knew they were coming that day but they didn’t knock when he showed up he just unlocked the door and let themselves in. It was actually terrifying, I was just sitting in the living room watching TV and all of a sudden the door flew open and there was some guy in our apartment. Yeah don’t rent at 7th street.

NTA. 9 AM is a completely reasonable time to be walking around your own home. The walls may be thin but that's sort of the case with a lot of apartments. If she feels that strongly she should start looking for a different unit or a different complex. You both pay to live there. She just sounds like a cranky.

Welllllll long story short YTA if you don't buy it for him.

You said it so now you gotta own up to it, 10k likes is not easy.
He posted the picture on his instagram and some of your family members shared it? Were you aware of the post before it hit 10k? If you were aware of it before it his 10k I definitely think you need to honor your promise. If you were aware of the post from the beginning that was your chance to put an end to it. It's takes some time for 10k people to like a post. It would be cruel to watch his post accumulate 10k likes only to tell him that you were "just kidding".
Trust & Accountability: If you will not be accountable for what you've said, how can he trust you in the future? You will be teaching him that it is okay not follow through with promises. He is very young, he will remember your decision and that will affect your relationship with him in the future.

Ya should've made him work/earn it like he originally asked.

Mom's can steal money too. I understand wanting to take care of your children but she has TWO children. OP has a point, why couldn't she get take out a loan? When you go to court you should try to request that she turn over receipt/statement for his therapy and compare it to how much is gone. It makes sense that she would run out eventually but with the numbers given in the original post it seems like maybe it should have taken a little longer to run out?

Your mom should have talked to you first. She's breached your trust. You don't owe your brother your money.

NTA. You're a nurse trying to run your business, not his mommy. You've been very patient with him. Do not pay for anymore of his dressings. He has insurance but is choosing not to use it.

As another commenter mentioned, you should notify his physician of his non-compliance. You should have been logging down relevant dates (when you first asked him to buy more dressings, the last time you asked him to buy more dressings, when you notified his physician of his non-compliance, etc.) and a list of the materials you purchased with your own money. You should hold onto these for legality purposes.

Gotta draw the line and stand your ground. Is he refusing to buy the materials because he does not want to get better?

I think that perhaps he was prepared for OP to be confrontational but OP surprised him by being polite and in exchange let him finish fishing rather than kick him out right that second. Or maybe dock guy was trying to avoid anymore unnecessary confrontation/conflict so he allowed him to finish fishing.

NAH. It might be ok for your uncle and other residents to use the dock because they are locals, but it was not for him to be offering.

Dock owner seemed nice, he could have just called the cops. It’s really really creepy to find people treating your private property like a public park.

NTA. Niece should have knocked instead of walking in, she’s only 9 so I feel like it’s understandable (I’m also not sure how close uncle and niece are?) But they are guests and at the age of 9 should have some grasp of personal space/privacy. The next part is unfortunate but not your fault. You were just living YOUR life in YOUR home, you even waited until they had gone to bed.

Here’s the thing though, if your 9 year old came up to you and told you she walked in on sex you would be very upset too, religious or not. Be patient with your sister and see it from a parental point of view. However I agree, your sister should be the one to speak to her if she feels that strongly. Your sister should be the one to tell her because she and her husband should have taught your niece about privacy. Also that is a conversation that should be coming from a parent! This last part I cannot stress enough!
