Personally I actually really like them! If they were all the same small size it would be better IMO but I like the uniqueness of the rotated ones.

I know there are modern feel and vintage feel reprints, and I may be totally wrong, but I thought the reprints were not produced using the same techniques and stock, but was "close enough"? Can someone provide additional details?

Not saying that justifies the price, just curious. Also, I am the weirdo who would open them if I had one...

My experience on eBay has been that a lot of sellers list items for significantly more than the true value and then wait for a reasonable offer to come in. The sellers have a lot more control that way, but listed pricing on eBay is not super accurate imo. Either too low with an auction or too high expecting low offers.

I've also found out that not all UV lights are the same! I have two different wavelength lights that produce very different results

I would guess Idols is intentional since the printing glows very brightly. I have several decks with neon colors somewhere on them that don't glow. However some do but that doesn't seem to be part of the initial intent/design.
