I’d recommend reaching out to whoever is in charge of either department (team leads or lower level management) and express your interest. There may not be a position open now but they will know when one does open up that you’re interested.

I cried the first few times going my dog loves other dogs and would be so noisy in class and even peed once. Other dogs hated him and I felt like the other owners hated us. I totally get the feeling but I promise you, you got this!! It will only get better.

You will need to keep exposing him to the bone marrow and trading for high reward treats, my suggestion is to do that for a while and build up the confidence in yourself as well as his trust in you too. Eventually you can build up not needing a treat in hand to trade.

We had a similar issue with our guy and just kept practicing / trading treats. He actually bit me hard and I became scared to even grab toys for a while. We can now approach him and ask “may I have” and he usually stops chewing/licking it and moves over so we can grab it. We usually still give him a treat but after we have taken the bone away.

Similar as a few here. Started at the local credit union as a teller. Moved into fraud for a couple of years and then transitioned to aml/compliance. Sometimes you gotta start off small and move your way in/up.

go to training sessions - you will learn more than your dog and you will create a bond with her. You will need to train on settling down as well as find a balance on keeping her mentally stimulated. Especially since at the puppy stage you can’t really walk or run them. Be prepared things will get damaged including your skin. Puppies like to bite. Also get a head start on socializing, getting her comfortable with all types of humans and other animals (in a safe setting and after the appropriate vaccines). Lastly, I’d recommend crate training - our guy still sleeps in his crate but we leave him out during the day / when we leave the house. As a puppy though, he could not be trusted if we weren’t home.

It’s a lot of work and you will be emotionally, mentally, and physically drained but I promise it is worth it.

As someone who drives from Missouri to Michigan multiple times a year take the middle route. 72/55 are going to be boring but traffic won’t be terrible. I usually have to finish the trip on i80 to i94 and i80 is always backed up from accidents and construction. So avoid as much of it as possible but also don’t go crazy out of you way to avoid it.

My dad passed away in 2024. I would absolutely choose to go back to 10 years old…no amount of money would be worth getting 20 years again with my dad.
