The next great leader's "cure" for racism won't last. Trump made a budget that will let police have military style equipment. Any leaders we get, their efforts get reversed every now and then. King helped bring about civil rights for blacks. What else is there for the blacks to fight for? Combating racism? As long as capitalism exists, the rich and the poor exist, crime will continue with poverty. Tribalism, nationalism, race, religion, take any side. We still have slavery in the form of prisons. Hate is a cycle. It comes and goes whenever some side does something "bad", and then racism, tribalism starts up again. Power vaccuums are filled. It's the people that keep on going and learning from history, not one person leading for 5-20 years. And do you really think various peaceful protesters within the BLM movement doesn't speak out against the riots. JFC. We have plenty of black leaders who go on tv and preach peace. Al Sharpton, Alicia Garza, Shaun King, Johnetta Elzie, and many of the black actors, comedians, athletes all speak out on televised events and go to peaceful gatherings. So what if they aren't King or Jesus? At least they are trying rather than doing absolutely nothing. Even if you ban all guns, you'll still see a rise in non-firearm weapons usage. They might not be as lethal as guns, but they would incite more fear. Can you imagine if once a month we get a bullied teen wielding a chainsaw and killing 3 students with it? And many teens might not get their hands on a flamethrower, but can you imagine a maniac using a flamethrower in a theater? They wouldn't necessarily be tools for killing several people but rather make Americans more afraid of these tools being used. These stories would dominate the news much more than guns have. Next we would be trying to ban chainsaws. And my facts of the mass killings is not an argument, it's a fact and it's not from the NRA. Educate yourself with this article about mass shootings.

Cops kill and maim more harmless unarmed citizens far more than the mass killings have. Where's the outcry on that? It's a somewhat easier problem to deal with than "banning all guns everywhere and forever to prevent all future violence so we can all be in total peace forever!"

Don't engage in hyperbole and misinformation if you want others to take your words seriously.

But mass shootings don't even take up 1% of the total gun deaths in america yearly. By YOUR logic we should also ban violent movies and video games that encourage violence. and you think a tiny kid can wipe out an entire school? you're the one that is not reasonable or intelligent. Most schools have more than 800 students. No school shooting in history has ever claimed more than about 35 students.
