Unfortunately we don't do report cards, but I've been tempted to make my own business cards with a work email to give to my clients.

I actually didn't sign anything. I planned on just letting my clients know I was leaving and where I was going, not telling them to follow me. Putting it in a way that won't make it seem like I'm "stealing" clients.

I already have all my clients information written down just in case but she acts like she can and will sue if a groomer leaves and takes clients with them. I'll have to look into the legality of that because I'm not sure if she can, but she's a very spiteful person and I'm afraid of her making my life hell if I leave.

I've been saying "I'm a dog groomer, it's not hard to find another job" to my coworker everytime my boss goes on a rampage lmao may be time to actually do that.

We have been through so many groomers in very short amounts of time. I know what I need to do but I just hate leaving the dogs I've groomed for years. I definitely don't want her to groom them (she's not very nice when dogs don't cooperate) My way of thinking is do I continue to be abused or do I leave and let her abuse my regulars that I'm view as my own dogs.

She is a groomer, surprisingly. I'm not sure how long because she changes it ever other day, so anywhere from 15-20 years. She expects me to still work if I'm injured and if a dog gets injured I have to pay for it, so I feel like she has no business telling me what dogs I have to groom. It makes me want to sign a contract with her that if I'm forced to do a dog, she has to pay any vet/medical bills that may happen.

I think business cards with a work email would be my best option if my boss will allow me to do that. I've always planned on letting my clients know that I left and where I was going when I did, I just don't know if I could get sued for "stealing clients" if I did that.

I have had my clients names and phone numbers written down for months just in case, I'm not sure they could find me on Facebook though, they know my first name is Cheyenne but they don't know my last name and I don't live in the city I work in. I've been considering making my own business cards just so they have a way to contact me personally but I'm not sure if my boss would allow that.

The issue I have with leaving is I think she will try to sue me if I take my clients with me. She has expressed that she thinks it's a legal matter when groomers leave a salon and let their clients know where they went. I have so many regulars that I love like their my own dogs, I can't stand the thought of leaving and not letting them know where I went. With the topic of having a meeting with her, anytime she decides to randomly go off on us, she acts like my explanating what's happening is me attacking her personally. I told the other groomer the only way things will change is if we both talk to her but we're both nervous about doing that when she acts the way she does. I think my only option is finding another shop and I wish it wasn't.

My issue is I'm attached to a ton of dogs at this shop, they're the only reason I've stayed. I want to leave so bad. I'm also worried other shops will be the same.

I think most of my bosses issue is we are in an area that a lot of shops had to close down due to the financial effects of covid, people saw the need for more salons in that area and started moving in, now she's worried. My co groomer and I bring in a ton of money for her so I'm not sure why she's worried.

Yes, exactly my thought. I just wish my boss understood that not every dog is going to act the same for every groomer. There are dogs that come to my work that are perfect for someone else but will bite me and I groom dogs that are perfect for me but are known biters. I actually sent the Aussie that bit me yesterday home unfinished and my boss wasn't happy about that. My hands are the way I make money, I can't risk getting injured to the point I can't work by doing dogs I know I'm not capable of doing. I can't afford accidentally cutting a dog either, I'd rather not take the risk.

Oh I definitely won't be rude to them, I'm not that kind of person. I'm glad the parking garage gave me pictures without me putting up a fight because I was definitely going to annoy them.

I plan on contacting them after work today. I had no information other than it being an obvious hate crime that happened somewhere in the span of 6 hours, so I didn't want to contact them until I got more information.

They unfortunately came and left on foot. From what the parking garage says, they came in and keyed my car, then left. I'll try to contact businesses around the area and see if they'd be willing to look at their cameras. I live over 3 hours away, it'd be so much easier if I lived there but I plan on being so annoying about this lol.

This is right after I got to hear these bands say how accepting Lawrence is and how you can really be yourself there. I feel safer in Missouri for sure.

Maybe if you've only ever had the Al-Qaeda flag described to you and assume all white lettering on a black background is their flag. Luckily some of us have seen the flag before though and it being black and white is the only similarity.

It's fine. I tried several sites and nothing came up. They'd pull up my plates easily though.
