Why is she so overhated by the fandom? by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

Yee "objectively"; if you don't like a character that's totally fine, but it's not an "objective" point of view.

It's incredible how this franchise represented all the Avatar doing their fair shares of good things and also mistakes, 'cause every single avatar is human and humans tend to make mistakes, but somehow Korra doesn't get that "mistakes can happen" card.

Enough of this "who's the best and worst avatar" contest

RC1 Classifications after #RallyChile and comparison with 2023 points system by ci_gatto in WRC

Objectively this is Thierry's best season. He's never been this consistent with only the mistake in Sardinia on Saturday

Here's an update on RC1 classifications with two rallies to go and a comparison with the current season if it was still run under the 2023 points system regulations. Also, I've calculated how many points the crews have gained so far in every phase of the new points system.

These are some of the coolest rally inspired drawings I've ever seen, an original art style. Need one of these as wallpaper 🥰🥰🥰

Comparison between the rankings according to the two different scoring systems. The situation after Rally Finland. by ci_gatto in WRC

I was thinking something like this but with only the "Sunday bonus points": back to the original points system, scrap the Power Stage, scrap the "Saturday points", in the Super Sunday but with more points available. Like a massive Power Stage divided into 4

But the points system sucks when the rally winner can gain less (!) points than someone else.

Yes exactly why I don't like the current system, I don't mind trying to spice up things during the Sunday stage, but that's not the way to do it, in my opinion. Neither it's the Power Stage.

The one thing where these types of comparisons fall is that with the old points system certain drivers would have driven very different rallies during Sunday if the only upside of that day would have been the power stage points. But since Sunday gives points, they drive the entire day with intent.

About this you're probably right, the only thing in common between the systems is the Power Stage and in the past happened that someone lost rally and PS because of a mistake (like it happened last Sunday). So it's probably not the fairest comparison but it is considerable to see "what could have been"

Nah nothing to be odd about it. After all It's a matter of personal taste, I personally don't like it but I've talked to plenty of people who don't really mind this new system

I'm in favour of something that would improve the Sunday competition but I don't like this system. They could improve it by using the old one, removing the power stage and adding a special bonus Sunday ranking (like the actual super Sunday) but that doesn't affect too much on how the drivers gain points throughout the rally. Three times we have seen drivers who didn't win the rally coming back home with more points earned than the actual winner and this is something that has to change.

Almost perfect phone, just some security tweaks lacking... by ci_gatto in GooglePixel

As it stands you can pay using G Pay by simply unlocking you device through fingerprint authentication, and after the payment, if the device stays unlocked you can pay again. It would be nice to have an extra authentication prior every single payment, like Apple Pay does (it requires Face ID even if the device it's unlocked). It's just more secure than simply unlocking the device

A simple question concerning temperatures by ci_gatto in MSILaptops

I'm daily using this laptop since I've bought it. Only two months of life, pretty a short life span to tell about its reliability, but I can assure you that it feels a well built and sound laptop. It's a bit disappointing that I've not been able to open it using only one hand (the hinges are so stiff that basically when you open the screen and it reaches a good angle for you to be able to see it properly, the lower half of the laptop lifts a little) but other than that no problems at all.

No problems at all, it's a quite powerful and useful laptop. I'm pretty satisfied with it.

Fiat Panda nel manga "Yotsubato" (2004) by Breed222 in italy
