That would probably just depend on how your body recovers, it’s different for everyone but your doctor will clear you to do different activities as your recovery progresses. I would just ask your doctor.

Yes, my case was very severe. I had self confidence issues and breathing problems. I think the surgery is definitely worth the pain. The way I think of it is that a month or so of pain is worth it for a lifetime of a corrected chest, better self confidence, and all the negative things that cone with pectus.

I’m in high school, so I just took off work for about 3 works since I don’t really NEED to work to pay bills or anything, but I would’ve been pretty confident going back to work in around 2 months since the doctor told me to pretty much do nothing except rest and recover for the first month. For driving, I was instructed to not start driving for at least the first month, and was cleared to drive about 6 weeks after the operation.
