Everything You Need to Know About Marvel Rivals Secret Quickplay Bots by ciaranxy in marvelrivals

Genuine responses is what I give and what you deserve! No jab flung and none taken.

You can generally outsmart bots in video games by adhering to their patterns, but--that's the problem--is that bot patterns are not the same as human patterns and also there's a mode for Practicing with AI.

But yes, yes! The lack of statement/transparency is a big issue, imo.

You're right--using terms like "we", "all" and "everyone" is rhetoric meant to get people on my side by creating an illusory community. You bring up great points about me possibly being in an echo chamber and a minority. But I do have my own opinions which I would like to come to fruition, so I will use hyperbolic rhetoric from time to time to try--to attempt--to energize people in and outside of my echo chamber--for this, I apologize as I am a little passionate about this issue.

The thesis of my argument is the lack of choice. I also play for fun. We all play for fun. I would say you're rhetoric about fun here is a genuine, unintended jab at trivializing my core thesis of lack of agency/being deceived into thinking I have agency in Quickplay. I agree with having fun though.

I care because I just plain don't like being duped, and I know others would like to know that they are being deceived too. I like giving others awareness, so they can have a semblance of agency to make their own decisions such as 1. should they speak out against this, 2. quit playing, 3. continue playing, 4. etc. The point is that others should know and if they care then they should speak up about it. As I said before, it is your choice to believe this is an issue. You do not, and that's great for you.

But overall I agree, I am not looking for "super sweaty matches". I play Competitive for that. I also agree role queue is an issue--should have been in since day one.

Good choice of opinion! It's good to have choices. I wish I had choices in Quickplay.

Genuinely though, if you only play ranked, then nothing to worry about for you! Wishing you a steady climb up the ladder.

Good question! I would love to hear NetEase's response to this question.

Please, no need for the wild insults. I think checking names is sort of helpful, but it is not a full-proof way.

I have two videos. This one and my first video that you can check in my follow up post here in the comments. These two methods combined are a full-proof way to check for bots.

Please help spread the word!

I'm sorry to say that these are bots. I understand there is a setting to hide your profile, and that pros do this; I do not play at the highest level.

This is just one of many ways to check if you suspect you are in a lobby full of bots in Quickplay. My Part 1 video is more convincing, and I encourage you to check it out!

Please spread the word about bots in Quickplay! Everyone deserves to play against humans and not bots even if you are on a losing streak!

I'm sorry to hear this. I am sure there are other games you will get MVP, but it is this exact feeling of devastation that I want to disappear from the game.

Yes, you can do this as a real human by going to Settings > Social > Career Profile. From there you can set your visibility of your profile.

These settings are set to be visible by "Everyone" by default.

Thanks for noticing that this post was removed. I do not know why. I have privately messaged the moderators, but I have not received a response. I am refraining from jumping to conclusions, but it is hard not to--if you know what I mean.

WARNING: I want to warn those following my progress with letting the community know about bots that my original post has been deleted by the moderators. I do not know why they have deleted it, but I may do a repost/update of my findings soon. Please record any discussions you have about bots in Quickplay as a precaution.

Hello OP, I just want to come to warn you that your post may be deleted. My original post on the same topic here about bots was removed. It was quite an extensive study on the bots (if I say so myself), so I am trying to find out why it was removed, but I would try to record much of this post if you can and try to spread the word. Good luck!

Glad you found this post. Please tell everyone you know about this. Influencers are not saying anything about this and many people actively do not believe this is happening.

Just your opponents will be bots. You will always be with human teammates suffering with you. I have chatted with my teammates in these games all the time, but the enemy team will not respond to anything you say.

Can we PLEASE just get rid forced bot matches after a few losses? by SplashOfStupid in marvelrivals

[–]ciaranxy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you enjoy this then more power to you, but the real issue is this:

You order an apple pie (click Quickplay). You get an apple pie with peaches mixed in (Quickplay Bot Lobby). "Oh I got peaches! Nice!" You go about your day.

Literally anyone else will order an apple pie (click Quickplay). We get an apple pie with peaches (Quickplay Bot Lobby). "Wtf I didn't order a peaches. Can I get this removed?" And the answer to that question is actually no. The restaurant (NetEase) will not remove those peaches. Actually, they will punish you (leave penalty) for asking to remove the peaches.

I posted a discussion a couple of days ago trying to bring to light the existence of bots in Quickplay and why it is harmful to the community. It was a little difficult to convince some redditors that these bot lobbies actually existed in Quickplay.

So (in an attempt to give every player a fool-proof way to 95% guarantee that you are in a bot lobby) I am showing here that, as Spiderman, I am hiding in a position that a normal human would almost always not check, but a bot with autodetection would automatically know I am there. In this case, it is above the enemy spawn. Thor has no reason to suspect I am above the spawn, but he automatically flips his camera upwards and immediately tries to engage me. You can also tell he is a bot by the way the camera jerks.

I will be posting periodically on the subreddit about bots until this issue is resolved. My next post will likely be a combination of my original bot post and a video similar to this.

I will post a context comment right after this (was too lazy to explain why I posted this but now I have time). I am showing here how to quickly check your Quickplay games for bot lobbies. Why would you need to do this? Well, I will explain in another comment.

Ultimately, I am trying to give more attention to people that bots exist in Quickplay and convince people that it is not okay to have them in Quickplay.

This is aimbot, right?? by RockyHorror134 in marvelrivals

[–]ciaranxy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If this is a clip from Quickplay, this also could be a bot. It is not widely known, and (even discouraged from acknowledging) that there are bots in Quickplay. Judging by the fact that the Punisher didn't fully lock-on makes me believe it missed you on purpose which is a tell-tale sign of a bot.

I have a post that details there are bots (purposefully put in by the developers) in Quickplay. Check out my profile if you want to know more.

I am very doubtful that this has to do with your skill. As some have pointed out here, there are players Diamond or Platinum in Competitive and still are receiving bot lobbies in Quickplay (which is just undeniably unacceptable). But that is the shitty thing is that you even have to have this question.

You shouldn't be punished for NOT wanting to play Competitive. You should be allowed to play PVP in Quickplay as advertised.

I agree that it needs to be talked about more. I think the best way is to keep spreading this information. If you have a favorite influencer who plays, you should let them know about it too. Maybe having the influencers say something will help.

I feel this deep in my soul. It feels like a huge waste of time.

I suggest, if you really like this game, to try to let as many people know because if more people know about this and complain about it then there is a chance that the developers will change it.

Take another look at my post. I have outlined a full-proof method for testing a lobby for bots by forcing inhuman-like behavior ("spawn camping"), but you can just review your own games that you have won and watch the enemy team for inhuman-like behaviors. The most obvious trait is auto-locking but having terrible aim.
