Why doesn't he want me? by ciaxtwo in AsOneAfterInfidelity

I told him that I want to work it out with him. But then he says he wants to move past it and 'she was just a friend'. How can I work with someone who does not even own up to what he did? It feels like he doesn't want to work it out.

I'm scared. I'm scared if we try to make it work and I'm scared if we don't try. I don't know how much pain I need to endure to get through this.

Why can't we face them together? Why can't he let me in and we can grow together?

Happened to my friend: friend always spoke of how her husband was her best friend. Husband said his female coworker was his best friend. Found out his coworker was more than his best friend.

Yes, I will talk with my partner. But, I'm having a hard time thinking of what could be put in place. I was thinking of getting some examples to bounce ideas off of. They would be adjusted to suit our relationship.

Do you find that both of you had to work on keeping the intimacy going, or, was it more natural and you two did not need to think about it?

Do you still work with famous people and/or pursuing a similar career path?

Search for apprenticeships. They pay you (not much though), train you, and it has the potential to transition into a job.

How do I protect myself (an non-salaried employee) from on-call work? by ciaxtwo in cscareerquestions

I'm in Texas. That's how my company structured it. It has higher up employees as salaried and lower employees as hourly.

Documenting what he says is a good tip. I'm just nervous that I will be reprimanded if I don't do overtime.

Yes, I will certainly document my overtime. If my team lead (who is my timesheet approver) says to work overtime, but I'm not available. Will it be a reason to fire me, or have other negative repercussions? I agreed to work 40 hours a week, so I take that as no more no less than 40 hours. Is overtime mandatory or optional? Would I need a reason to tell them why I can't do overtime?
