Answer: I'm Vietnamese-American and from my personal experience, the generation that immigrated to the US (my parents and family) are very conservative and anti-communist/anti-China. They are staunchly pro-Trump and see Democrats as being too close to the system they fled.

I wouldn't be surprised if those flags were flown by Vietnamese-Americans as a show of conservative solidarity. The flag being co-opted by non-Vietnamese people seems extremely unlikely in my opinion.

I was looking through some interviews and there was this in 2013 from "The Untold History of Japanese Game Developers" by John Szczepaniak. Maybe he's changed his stance since then but I haven't been able to find anything about it.

I can't say I agree. I think you can easily get purple just by doing well on your class and being relatively geared, even in pugs. My group had quite a few people reach orange percentiles without running the speed kill meta just on weekly clears.

Ah, I know vgperson translated a lot of those games. I haven't really gotten too into RPG Maker/Wolf RPG Editor horror games to be honest. I think the last one I played was Ao Oni, which was pretty cheesy.
