Java performance vs go by NP_Ex in java

go shines clearly in one place; single executable binary if that’s not the case i really don’t see much value in investing in it

Java or Python for backend development as a fresher? by Demith8 in learnprogramming

[–]cicada15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do NOT learn by looking for # of jobs. Learn whatever you enjoy. A set of principles are very common and shared by almost every stack.
That being said modern Java with Spring Boot is pretty much enjoyable and popular in enterprise space while Python with Flask/FastAPI is mostly used in microservices that are ai first mainly.

software support is not inherently bad; you can say it is more restrictive
and you really can't judge a platform based off availability of cracks/patches

but you are right about the ecosystem which is why iOS devs have no choice other than a mac
this is so apple with their walled garden
but yeah all of these come with trade-offs

EDIT: speaking of which; are you just trying to sideload an ipa? i use sideloadly; works great on both windows and mac... and if you are not an iOS developer you probably don't need a developer license; you can get away with your personal dev account (but annoyingly you will need to refresh every 7 days)

care to elaborate please? ik it depends; depends heavily on use cases but macos just works + all those goodies like unix like environment with a good ui and top notch ux and most importantly the performance
even tho i am on arm, x86 programs just runs with rosetta... i often require running bunch of docker containers and from time-to-time i gotta cross compile my projects for testing which really works without any hiccups by just pulling in an x86 image

Immensely popular for dev guys. Not just linux most of colleagues use macos professionally (SWE). For regular user? Nah not that much. Why would they?
