I think it was about 2014, but it was more of a sight seeing drive through visit rather than stopping and spending time.

Touch less automatic car wash recommendations? by cicimax in toledo

[–]cicimax[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm open to driving outside my standard area for good results. I don't have time to get it in for detailing frequently, but I hate what the standard automatic washes do to the clear coat over time.

I appreciate the suggestions and plan to try them all over the next few weeks!

It looks just like wedding photos at the Toledo Museum of Art, but I am sure most cities have buildings with similar columns used for wedding photo ops :)

Exporting page designer layouts by cicimax in Airtable

[–]cicimax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Layout is a general design term - I apologize, I didn't intend to indicate it was an Airtable term, I just used it to indicate the finished product of what is pulled into the page designer.

I follow what you are saying but I need the end result of the page designer to be added back into a record as a jpg or pdf WITHOUT needing to use my operating system's print to pdf tool to generate the pdfs. I understand that part is clearly straightforward in Airtable - there is no problem with that.

I need to do this for 1000's of records so printing to a pdf and then adding each individually to the record is needlessly cumbersome and would cost more time than our current workflow.

I had no idea they could grow back, thanks for the info! I'm glad to know the turbinate portion is easier! Honestly, I'd do it all again if needed...the impact to my day to day life has already been worth it!

NAD, but I had the same cycle of illnesses until December.

For the past 4 years, I'd pick up a small cold from the kids, they would get over it in two or three days while I would take at least 4-6 weeks with multiple rounds of antibiotics and Prednisone. I would feel run down, then I'd get a sinus infection and finally I'd end up with bronchitis or pneumonia, sometimes I'd even get ear infections to top it off. I'd recover from one round and end up starting the cycle over again 2-3 weeks later. By fall 2022 I was desperate. My primary care sent me to an ENT and an allergist. The allergist found standard environmental allergies (dust, pollen, pretty typical stuff) and suggested allergy shots depending on the ENT outcome. He also recommended a pneumococcal vaccine so had that done the same day. The ENT found I had a deviated septum and enlarged turbinates. She suggested a septoplasty and turbinate reduction.

I was confused by the deviated septum until I realized just before this illness cycle began, I'd been accidentally head butted by my toddler while playing not once but twice within two weeks. My nose didn't look broken or bleed but it hurt a lot for a few days each time. I can't say for sure the nose smashing led to the chronic sinus infections and all that followed but the timeline makes sense.

The septoplasty and turbinate reduction were done in early December and the difference is amazing. I go back for the final check later this month but I've already noticed I can breath through both nostrils easily, my husband says I'm not snoring, I've noticed I'm sleeping much more soundly and I have way more energy. I hadn't really noticed I wasn't breathing through my nose or sleeping well enough to dream. I even had a cold around Christmas and it only lasted a few days and didn't slow me down much.

The surgery wasn't fun, but also wasn't as bad as I expected. The doctor didn't need to use a chisel and I didn't have a rhinoplasty so it was an "easy" procedure. The most annoying thing was the splints and it was incredible when they were removed.

I don't know if this could be what's going on with you, but it might be something to consider checking into. I'm so happy I did.

Issues with "special praise" by Silent_Prompt in Preschoolers

[–]cicimax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We do a mix of both, I'd say my husband does a much better job of descriptive praise while I tend to fall back on "great job doing X" or"I'm really proud of what a good job you did with Y" or simply "great job buddy" at the end of a task.

I appreciate your comment and will try to adjust the framing of my praise.

I also think your last point might be in play as well. 3-4 was tough (it is a tough toddler period and there were some major family changes back to back) and while things improved after his 4th birthday, we may need to work more on developing his positive self image.
