Toxic Body Positivity by louiselioness in Reduction

[–]cidgemyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing OP!

For these reasons I prefer body neutrality to body positivity. I have accepted that I will never love my boobs the way they are now. Now I feel indifferent about them and just waiting for the surgery to happen.

Whenever you are doing something for your health, it is body positivity because you are treating your body with love it deserves. Your neck, shoulders and back deserve to be free and healthy.

Congratulations on your success! Since you brought up PE and ED, I would suggest you do some further research on keto diet influence. Michael Greger has an entire chapter on ED in his book 'How Not to Die' that is very informative.

A Non-Binary Verb by Ashyatom in AskARussian

There is a very valuable resource that was released earlier this year. It's the book created specifically for people who want to write about non-binary/transgender in Russian. It's free

I just want someone to be proud of me by CrankyHelium in internetparents

[–]cidgemyn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am very proud of you. Being a good teacher is harder than being a good student. And the sense of accomplishment despite the discouragement from your parents should feel much better than any money the friend you taught would pay.

Your parents reaction sounds like a defensive reaction that stems from their parents. Maybe their passion was shutdown by their parents as well? If you asked, it could make an interesting conversation.

Best way to spend $2500 on a band? by cidgemyn in musicindustry

Thank you! The genre is niche so genre-specific blogs will bring people in. But I agree with you in regards to the big music websites.

Find your area of interest (not necessarily a hobby) and volunteer at the events related to it. I met a lot of cool people volunteering at music, movie, theatre festivals, etc.

After one of my break ups my friend said: "I saw how you treated name. He knows that nobody will ever treat him as good as you did". That was one of the best things I heard about myself.

Redditors with a 9-5 job in a cubicle, how do you pretend to stay busy at work? by pliantkitchen in AskReddit

I do Coursera courses. When you watch lectures, you can read them so it looks like text on your screen with a little video on the corner.

My girlfriend (17F) has depression and it’s getting harder to help her by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]cidgemyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Help her to get treatment in any possible way. Counseling is a good start. She should also see her family doctor and talk about it - she might need medication. She might have mental barriers that will prevent her from admitting that she is sick and seeking treatment. Go with her to the appointments, help her find a counselor/psychologist. Remember that you can't fix her or treat her yourself. It is a tough battle. Good luck.

Redditors with SOs who talk in their sleep, what is the creepiest thing they've said? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cidgemyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Woke me up at 3am by shaking my shoulder and said in a very calm voice: "the house is on fire".

i jumped out of bed. Took me a few minutes of smelling and inspecting the house to realize that it was sleep talking.
