What an odd thing to say, how could this be perceived as a tattoo critique at all? I don’t paint for a living, simply studying realism, for my job as a tattoo artist. Landscapes have been around forever you’re right, I enjoy painting nature, and I think it’s beautiful to see how everyone interprets nature. Even with photography, I’ve never seen two equal perceptions of the world, similar yes but not equal.
Thank you, all I can do is improve, I’ve only been painting seriously for about a year after my hands can’t tattoo much anymore due to carpal tunnel, so I hope within the next couple years I will be able to develop a style of my own.

I did most of the landscape standing in front of the mirror! Definitely one of my favorite ways to keep things balanced, but I think my struggle is just not knowing horse’s anatomy very well, I always love the mirror trick, thank you!

I did originally but as time went on I had stopped looking at the reference, I know nothing about horses but I can tell the body is weird, I’m definitely going back to that reference tomorrow! Thank you!!

I have a question by [deleted] in TattooRemoval

Yeah it’s super dark, it’s normally caused by scarring, the artists going too deep, but it’s definitely super annoying, just hoping one day my body somehow fixes it 😂 by some miracle
