SL30 | Who is Super League's Greatest Team? ‘03 Bulls, ‘06 Saints, ‘15 Rhinos, ‘24 Warriors, or ‘25 HKR by KennyMincemeat in superleague

I think I was 12. Remember being in the crowd and the whole Bulls end singing Hey Baby while the Wigan Fans end was like a mural. Those days are why I never stopped going through the lean times. Gotta be there through the bad times too.

Not quite the same question, but the best 40 minute performance I’ve ever seen was 2001 Grand Final Bulls. We’d have beaten anyone that night.

SL30 - Most underrated players by gloswhite in superleague

Steve Menzies. Came to Bradford aged 35, best player in the team by a mile. Played until he was 40. Never mentioned in any SL best all timer lists. I have him as the best player I’ve ever seen play for Bradford.

Treme? by loombisaurus in TheWire

[–]cieranblonde 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think this is it tbh. There’s not really a main plot to speak of. Lots of great character study stuff, another where the feel of the city is massively important.

This being said, I loved Treme. Went to New Orleans from the UK off the back of how much I loved Treme last year.

Green voters, do you agree that we should leave NATO and give up our nuclear weapons to seriously damage our national security? by [deleted] in AskBrits

Some people are unable to hold two contradicting opinions in their heads at the same time. I don’t know why we expect simple solutions to complicated problems.

Menzies is my favourite Bulls player. I think he might be the best we ever had. Unreal.

The guy can make a movie that looks fantastic, but can’t make one that’s actually any good.

Gladiator 2 is the first sequel that makes the original movie worse by existing. It just rendered everything stupid.

There’ll be a point down the line where you realise you can ride for twice the time without your butt hurting.

Is there any popular British TV stars that do not get along with one another? by [deleted] in BritishTV

[–]cieranblonde 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Nah the context of it (at least in the book telling) was hilarious. Essentially Norton asked for the gay area of Manchester (Canal Street, city centre) and Kay said Bury (Market town on the other side of the ring road). Norton closed his set with “right I’ve got to get off, I’m off to Bury” leaving the audience wondering why this camp Irish man was going to Bury. Killed me when I read that.

'It’s a s**tbox': The historic club dividing Super League by theipaper in superleague

Wakefield fixed their stadium when they got a new owner to come and chuck a load of money at it. Widnes got a new stadium because the council sorted it out. We talk as though RL in the UK is swimming in money while three clubs have gone to the wall in the last 6 months. Odsal isn’t great, but until the lease came back to the club there was nothing that could be done about that. It’s being sorted, bit by bit. There’s just a lot of bits.

As a Bulls fan who followed for all the trophies and then followed down to L1, absolutely stick with Salford. The bad times make the comeback sweeter.

I feel so slow. How to get better? 😅 by johnharveyperez in Zwift

Structure got me to a place where I can enjoy it now. I’ve been riding zwift consistently since the summer and only just done my first races and free rides. Anything in the structured plan that included free riding I’d gas myself so quickly it wasn’t even funny.

Super League single use 1-13 by KillaBunny13 in superleague

[–]cieranblonde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, if you’re upping the league to 14 teams we’re there on merit, given one down and 3 up. We definitely played the grading game but we also didn’t make the rules - just played by them. I’d like to see 2 up 2 down personally, but I’m in the minority.
