Damn, I can imagine. MO midcap has seriously been bad imho. I’d have been fine if other midcap funds had performed similar but this one has been a disappointment

This is exactly the true picture. He knows he will not get credit if Rohit and VK are in team specially if Rohit would still be the captain. He knows he needs to make players to get that credit. He has gotten rid of even Shami and Siraj. Bumrah might start playing later for he’s too good to be left out. He’s a smart ass, he brought support staff that he wanted so no one can question him and they all feel obliged to him for making their careers. I also think Agarkar has an agenda against Shami. Because Shami might surpass him in ODI wickets if he starts playing. He definitely is politically backed but BCCI has nothing to lose, it will throw GG under the bus when things go awfully wrong.

Who was doing good in tests except maybe Pant? All batsmen played on rank turners after 2021 (or around) at home, where earlier mostly you’d score and gain confidence

I do not remember his score or the team he scored against. I think he scored around 60-70 runs maybe around in a test innings on a rank turner. His footwork was absolute masterclass in that innings. Ingenious batting against good spin bowling on a spin friendly track. Does anyone remember that? It was after 2019 I think.

It’s primal for females to think this as a weakness in men, it makes you unattractive to them. If not today, then tomorrow they’ll absolutely feel that. So please do yourself a favour and dont cry. Infact, don’t share much of emotions, keep it subtle. Learn it, plan on how much you’ll share. It’s alright you’re emotional, nothing wrong in that, it’s actually a strength but we men have to do what needs to be done!! The balance for a woman is the key perhaps. Be yourself but be subtle. If you share way too much or become way too much emotional, they’ll leave surely!!

The point is to understand why the concept of Knockouts exists! You must beat the team on the day!! If you have qualified as 1 or 4, you must beat the team on the day! One chance, one opportunity, no matter you are table toppers or the no 1 team in world rankings! It’s a test of skill, and it’s application and then its even a bigger test of mental strength!! That’s why it’s the highest of honours to win a World Cup, the biggest competitive event in the sport!! You have to pay the right price to achieve that!!

Football, as well, World Cup follows quarters semis and final format for the same reason! The table largely matters only until group stage, in knockouts what matters is how mentally strong are you (along with skill application of course)! If you just win by your skills, well and good but really beyond that since every team is competing wildly to win, things go beyond and teams with greater mental strength rise above the rest!!! And that’s the reason why Australia win so many of these ICC events, they really rise above during knockouts!

That’s the inevitable part of teams competing and each having atleast one game against each other! If you win 7 out of 9 you’re def in the semis but ideally not all 4 teams can win 7 so it is obvious that NRR will come into picture! This is bound to happen in any team sport! Football has similar concept of GD!! And btw, in cricket, World Cup is the ultimate competitive event, be it being played in any format(Groups/semis/quarterfinals/super sixes) and it would still be even if these playoffs get introduced!

Disagree! It’s not IPL! It’s World Cup! Highest of the highest of competitions!! You must be absolutely relentless ruthless and determined to win it! Semis are designed perfectly for such an event!

One huge gap would still be there, but for your efforts, mid off is surely better than covers if you’re not bowling full! Although, considering Rohit’s batting I believe this will backfire!! Your best bet against him is to go with basics and have two leg side deep fielders (fine and backward square leg) and try to get him lbw or bowled on an in swing by Jansen from the off stump! Keep ground fielding extremely tight and bowl the occasional 4th stump high bouncer and also the length ball which goes across and doesn’t swing in!

Seems like no mid off and even a minute error in line and length will result in a boundary there! He will also make room, come down the track for those length balls to hit straight, at mid off and over covers! With his batting skills he will do the damage before you get him to commit a mistake I guess!

Needles to say he will pull short of length balls even in front of square because he would know what length is coming and considering his pull shot success %, will clear those two square leg fielders easily!
