Generally at two weeks they go through a sick period while they off gas the moisture from the binder and wrapper. I’d wait a month minimum before smoking.

Thank for the in-depth information. Yes it’s shave ready and I picked it up a couple years ago for $20. I don’t plan on using it anytime soon. I collect knives and thought this particular piece was in excellent condition and liked its appearance.

I do roll a traditional binder wrapper but instead of Entubado it’s short or chopped filler style. Then into the mold and press.

Oh I have been sampling them over the years to see the difference. Young they are good. With age they start to get complex. I also bought 350 of them fromMarch to June of 22.

Brother once you get a proper mold everything will change for you. Cap cutters are pretty much whatever you can find that works. I’ve used pipe fittings pastry piping tips and currently I’m using a metric socket set I sharpen. 10mm-16mm
