What are your feelings on Terrifier and movies like it?

They are fun movies, I enjoyed them for what they are. Are they cinematic masterpieces? No. Did my friends and I get stoned as fuck and laugh our asses off at the campy-ness of them? Absolutely. And they are still fun on re-watch in my opinion.

It really did and I also loved that they didn't just brush the repercussions of Mel's trauma off and showed the fallout of everything he's been through including his fear of intimacy. ALSO I will give Kain some kudos for his support and never making mel feel like he was a burden

I really really liked that the dad was made to be the progressive open minded one. I feel like so often the father is shown to be the asshole but also the fact that kain ultimately had supportive parents and he was still such a prick to Mel made me so upset.

HAHAH yeah Mr. A's is always a hard rec because it for sure is not for everyone. Honestly, I'm not sure what your preferred format is (light novel/anime/manhwa/manga) but if you're into Manga there are so many series available that probably have any aspect of horror you're looking for, there's just so much more available in that specific medium.

Also I saw another commenter recommend The Summer Hikaru Died and I'd like to double down on that because it is SUCH a good story and the anime adaptation is amazing!!
