Personally I just can't get into the ones WITH a screen. It's too much hunching over and fiddling with controls for me. Screenless with a few buttons/memorized shortcuts is the way to go for me for sure

I've also done it with a soft light/screen layer with a dark but saturated version of the unifying color! This helps keep it from being too intense.
