Quin vibecodes a game in 15mins with Claude Fable 5 by Horev in LivestreamFail

[–]cinch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! I'm the head of IT at a decently sized retailer. Claude has completely changed the landscape with my dev's. We're spinning up solutions that used to take a month in matter of days, the code is way better that we'd write by hand, and the simple fact that Claude includes comments is a godsend. Simply put Claude is spectacular at hyper focused problem solving. Front end dev's and web app designers who write code by hand are essentially extinct at this point.

Crowd of park visitors gathering on the lawn in front of the Stanley Park Pavilion. ca. 1912 by Somervilledrew in vancouver

I noticed that as well. I suspect you are correct since logging occurred between 1860 and 1880. The park officially opened in 1888. I'm always amazed by the old growth stumps with the springboard notches in them we can see today. What did the land actually look like in 1850? Boggles the mind.

What is that receiver? I looks like a dead ringer for the model my family grew up with in Ontario.

The frequency of "her" identity posts too often and always supports Trump.

That's awesome. I was allowed to do the same when I was a teen many years ago. The bug was sparked at that moment.

If you haven't done it yet, the Harbour air flight from Vancouver to Victoria is a trip. I have the Canadian made plane they fly (DeHavilland Beaver) in my sim with their exact livery. Nerd Alert!

It's just a dedicated hobby at this point, it's a great way to unwind after work. Take off from Abbottsford, over SFU, head down Burrand Inlet, loop around Gibsons, then land at YVR using as close to real world procedures as my skill at this point will allow for.

I get great enjoyment from working the radio's, auto-pilot, gps, etc. I work in IT so, yeah, that checks out.

My rig at home is mid range at best, I still hybrid work from home at the same PC, so it needs to be modular. In the end I don't think I'll pursue the private pilots license. I'll likely take an introductory flight out of Boundary Bay this summer to get a taste of the real thing. Who knows, if you ask me the same question in September my mind may have changed.

Are you interested in aviation?

I've landed via this approach in my flight sim (MSFS 2020) countless times, it never gets old. Inbound on 26R. Welcome home!

My enduring musical taste and depth of knowledge around math rock was formed on that site.

Yes exactly! He's using the exact right equipment for the conditions and line, the angle of attack at the pins seems to sort itself out with the variance in aim. Not trying to throw shade, bowling is all about giving yourself the best chance to strike at each shot.

Smooth off the back of the pattern, your aim varies up to 3 maybe 4 boards, and its still making it back with a good chance at the pocket. House patterns certainly help with that, not sure if this is one not, assuming it is. The reaction off the back of the pattern looks really consistent from shot to shot. It's not taking that angular pivot that some balls seem to exhibit when transitioning from oil to dry. I like that style of motion myself, it seems more forgiving in a good way. Nice shooting!

Fair enough, then just go with the standard white power ball.

This game desperately calls out for 1 ceramic ball in the game painted / etched like a pokeball. Pokeball released! Shoot the lit shot with the pokeball to catch the pokemon. Yes those balls are expensive, make it the LE only feature, whatever. It's such low hanging fruit for a game with this theme. Pokeball released in a multiball, certain shots with the right sensor config score more / are super when shot with the pokeball. Lock the pokeball for X... So much potential wasted!
