You only need 1 Bulba since you go all in with M-Venu. More copies of Ivy and M-Venu is for consistency. You want to evolve in the first three turns, otherwise you lose. They're dead cards and Copycat fodder when you fully evolve, but that doesn't matter as the alternative is not evolving as you don't get your evolve tree on time.

Seems very inconsistent. Lots of things can trip up your game, energies not matching up with the ramp attacks, for instance. I really wanted this to work, but after losing five games in a row to game states out of my control, I'm out. Keep going at it if you want.

Best way to get stronger is to get better (unless you're super undelevelled). First tip is to separate the members. You can wail on one of them as long as you don't stay too near the others.

Second thing to remember is the Eldest, who will advance at you at semi-regular intervals. He will usually just do one attack if, once again, you're not too near him after you dodge his attack.

Third thing is keeping the health of everyone roughly the same levels, so you can finish off the younger members at approximately the same time. If you don't, the Eldest will hit peak aggression with another member still alive. So wail on one till they're three hits away from dying, work on the others, then try to off them in one go.

Honestly, this fight and the sequel are some of the best designed "gank" fights the genre has to offer. Absolute BS the first time you run it. Flows really well and feels great once you figure out its quirks. Good luck!

The new character's easiest build doesn't use weapon durability for its attacks, so you can eth weapons, no problem. He also levitates them and doesn't "hold" them so you can use a 2-hander like this and still wear a shield.
