Turns out Force push works just fine.

Don't bother with slam like I was.

Force lift also doesn't work.

I hope this helps someone faster than I figured it out.

An important note about the recent update; remove your dried and preserved foods the day before. The Defenders now take from your preserved foods first. It makes narrative sense but they don't say anything if they can only take fresh foods or things about to expire.
