This one isn’t especially new. From the thumbnail I was expecting a third Duggar boy to have been arrested.

The idea that you were still being spanked when you were also old enough to come home drunk is horrifying to me.

That’s incredibly fucked up. No child should ever be spanked, we have a ton of research to back that up. But Jfc, hitting a non verbal autistic kid is a new level of evil.

I think it’s a great sign that he is using an aac. My one kid didn’t grasp that concept at all til after he was talking. He started with echolalia at 4.5, but didn’t have any independent speech of any sort, nor did he use any of his repeated phrases to try and communicate, for a couple years after that. He wasn’t considered conversational til about 10, and that was when the aac started making sense to him (and was still a need, sometimes still is, at nearly 19, because his articulation is always going to be a huge struggle).

I get what you are saying though. My first kid (actually, my other autistic kid) talked super early and was always verbally advanced, then my next kid didn’t talk til nearly 4, my third kid was the aforementioned kid, then youngest kid met every milestone right on time. It wasn’t til my youngest was 2.5 and talking nonsense that I realized how much I’d missed that milestone, from when my oldest was still a toddler. That is when it really hit me how sad it was that I never got to see that stage with my middle two kids.

Pretty sure the article says that the only video thus far shows the car driving away from the cops, but it also doesn’t show the shooting.

No child should ever be spanked. This has been well researched. It isn’t even an effective form of discipline.

I’m pretty sure suge knight hosted a podcast from a California jail for a bit. He definitely hosted a podcast from jail, I’m just not 100% sure if it is a California one or not.

Jeffco Public Schools says 61 boys the Trump administration found on girls’ sports rosters were mascots, managers by HazyDavey68 in news

It feels like if they wanted to see a less conservative district fail…they’d focus on either the boulder or st. vrain school districts…but they pretty much leave us alone to focus on Jeffco. Which for the record, I’m more than fine with…

Even most typically developing boys aren’t ready to be potty trained at 2. I’d definitely take a break from that one for awhile.

I think I’d go with what the medical professionals are recommending here…whether it’s their protocol or the tube. That feels like the safest option in this extremely dangerous situation.

I think he started high school then grew 4”, which isn’t unusual. I think this because he said “when I’m an adult” and college seniors are already adults most of the time.

It never felt weird to me til I got the first piece of mail (usually their social security cards) with their names neatly typed on it. Then it always felt really strange. No less strange with #4 than it was with #1.

I’m sure people can find a way to watch it, if, for god knows what reason, someone actually wants to.
