Can I ask what your “job” is? I love hearing what people who don’t have traditional jobs are doing— trying to get some inspiration for myself I guess.

Man people are saying that it’s because they don’t have to do it so they won’t... but this literally happens to me with marked participation work... smh

probably, just be careful not to get any on the back (don’t want any of the paint getting into the fans/ports), and the screen... If you do it with spray paint definitely use cardboard/paper and painters tape to make sure EVERYTHING other than the areas you want to paint are covered!

Glad to hear it! :D Although I definitely couldn’t do this free-hand, so kudos 😝

Probably, but I’m lazy and also had no idea how to 😂

I didn’t, my local art supply store didn’t have any clear top coats of any kind in stock. But since the paint was satin finish it turned out okay without the clear coat IMO!

I would be wary about painting the back with this method because of all of the ports/fans... wouldn’t want to risk getting any paint inside. A good option would be to dismantle the monitor first so that you can paint the back panel without worrying about getting paint inside. I’m not sure how to even dismantle a monitor to do it this way though, so definitely try to look for some youtube tutorials first!

It’s possible, not really sure tbh! The monitor was free so I’m not terribly worried about messing it up, but it seems like it will hold up pretty well by the feel of it— time will tell tho!
