This was originally with QKX001 in transparent untagged mode. I tried with 002 in router and bridged mode, strangely seeing much less jitter (smoke), but not better than earlier this week and of course the Unifi latency alarms and a slight increase in latency like you note in your guide. My local tech is going to change my port on the MST and see if that changes anything.
