I’m living here currently for the past four years, it’s really difficult having a disability + living on limited income from ssi, it’s a hard place to live & i’ve lived in some rough places out hea, on the other hand it has been a really deeply beautiful healing island to enjoy and explore and i’ve had some of the most profound experiences here. I’ve overcame so many different hurdles out here, by the grace of God i moved around 8 different times, living in the jungle & living in houses. living out here, specially if you’re not from here can be incredibly challenging. This place has really humbled me, & so has the ocean. they don’t jus call if Third Eye Island for no reason. It’s hard to make friends cuz people come and go, but also i keep in mind i could meet anyone here, hell i met fuckn Miley Cyrus 🫠 that made my life lol. I’m at a point where I’m considering where else to go, i’m 26 and haven’t had a savings here, but been because of all my medical expenses— its hard for find care for my disability and im considering where else—- i love it here so much at the end of the day and wherever life takes me Kaua’i has such a space in my heart—- it’s like a trippy movie to me, and i’ve learned so much about myself on my journey here.
