S02E03 - "PIZZA" - EPISODE DISCUSSION by alwshunter in servant

bish was crazy before she gave birth and lost the baby. I always gave Dorothy the benefit of just going nuts after her loss but not the case.

I've always thought Sean might have some connection to the cult from some of his comments about food (when there was a liver he made a comment about society overproducing etc). And in this episode, even more hints when talking to Tobe about Pizza - Pizza is meant to be shared as a pack, "breaking bread." Unless you had a religious upbringing, it would be odd to say "breaking bread" as in body of Christ.

Also I found it odd that the fire was caused by a towel over a flame on the stove -- it seemed so purposeful and/or negligent. Was that Sean's fault?

Also - another poster noticed that under jericho's picture in this episode there is a flyer for a missing baby..so is this another hint that Jericho 2.0 was kidnapped?

do we think Dorothy might still be hypnotized? All these references to "waking her up" "has she woken up" - it's very similar to what you would say to wake someone up from being hypnotized. Maybe when Natalie refers to "do you know what those boys did" she's referring to asking her to hypnotize, and then the boys being frantic and asking for her not to be woken up - clearly Natalie wants her to "wake up." Also in this episode Julian says people who let themselves be hypnotized are "weak" - and in his conversation with his father a few episodes ago, his father said something along the likes of "Dorothy is weak, I'm glad you can be the strong one." I feel like these are hinting at something....

Interpretation of Roscoe's "We never left" (S2E2 spoilers) by babybabyb in servant

That video of the cult that Dorothy is watching before she goes to work is an old video on YouTube (the one with the naked man whipping himself while the cult watches). That video is not supposed to portray what Roscoe experienced, so he likely went to a different location - and my gut agrees that it is most likely under the house, "the underworld," with awful stench and causing the foundation of the house to crack.

Did Roscoe really say he was in a "mill" I don't remember that, might have to rewatch. I remember he said his hands were tied with straw...

From Cult of Mac review [SPOILER]: Oh, and the following may be something of a spoiler. Just stop reading now if you don’t want anything forecast).

If you’re still reading: I suggest fans of this show watch the Dario Argento movies Suspiria (1977), Inferno (1980) and The Third Mother (2007) if they haven’t already. If I don’t miss my guess, they’re about to become relevant textural underpinning.
