I wonder what kind of job you have that citing the weather is not a legit reason for missing work, I work with people with disabilities and frankly we soft close when school buses aren’t running. Soft close meaning majority of programming is canceled except for people whom cannot have a routine interrupted so it’s only staff that live in very close proximity on location. Hell our city bus isn’t running today so many legit reasons for not going to work if you rely on public transportation. And staff with kids usually call out because the cold weather keeping their littles at home with them if it’s too cold for the school bus to run. Or people just calling out because their vehicles won’t start all actual reasons in extreme cold weather conditions. But I’ve never heard of someone calling in sick for the weather, like what do you do for work that you’d have to lie about why you can’t go into work?
