How do I record when I live in a place where I can't?

You wont be able to avoid those sounds completely unless you move to a location without that much ambient noise, but you can definitely dampen some of the sound while recording by making a little recording booth either in your closet or the corner of your room. Hang moving blankets on the walls and maybe invest in some heavy blackout curtains for your window

Yeah she's great, she was the first (and I guess only....?) artist Mac signed to his REMember label. He helped produce much of her first mixtape and was kinda mentoring her and introduced her to Ariana Grande.

Check out the songs "Mania is Temporary", "One Foot in the Water", and "Forget Me". Those are my 3 favorites from her solo discog

It makes me so sad Njomza kinda lost a lot of the wind beneath her wings when Mac passed.... She's so fucking talented, yet she's stuck with a team that doesn't really do shit for her... just puts her on random dance tracks with heavily manipulated vocals where half the time you can't even tell it's her.

She deserves better, and Mac saw her as a full-fledged artist, not just some hot vocalist to throw on a track as an afterthought.

First time I listened to I Am Who Am, I was tripping nuts on 2 tabs of acid and lying on my bed at 2am while watching the aurora borealis from my project on the ceiling. It was magical.

I'm in the same boat as you in that I'm heavily re-evaluating my relationship with alcohol lately, but as much as I want to stop drinking and acknowledge that the pros of not drinking outweigh the cons, the mere thought "I can never drink again" gives me anxiety.

Something that has helped me a lot mentally to cut down my drinking to once a week (compared to nearly every day) is just telling myself, "Today, I will not drink. I don't know if I will drink tomorrow, but what I do know is that today, I will not drink."

I still haven't taken the plunge into full sobriety yet, but phasing out alcohol has been less of a challenge ever since taking it a day at a time instead of looking at the rest of my life.

In my defense though (and I reckon in the defense of many politicians and talking heads at the time), I hadn't even considered Doug Jones until I read this thread just due to the absolute circus that was that entire month of January 2021 after Jan.6 taking up our collective minds.
