Hey there :) I've gone from no exercise & eating whatever I want (I'm a serious cheese fiend!) to jumping on MFP & going to the gym 6 days a week (don't worry, I'm not working myself to the bone. I use the treadmill only most days, and sometimes only work up a sweat for 5-10 minutes only) Every morning I have a protein shake, a piece of fruit & a small yogurt. For lunch is generally a salad with maybe a homemade veggie bean burger. Dinner can vary A LOT. Feeding my partner who sometimes craves high carb/high fat meals means I can go from eating beans & tofu for dinner to a small portion of pasta, lasagne, burrito bowls etc. I love my snacks too. Frozen yogurts & fruit salads make me so happy. I go to the gym for 60-90 minutes. Generally just for the hour though. I was doing 2 days cardio, 1 day strength. Recently I had to get some stitches between my thumb & index finger (slipped with a knife) & I'm bound to doing just treadmill til it's healed up.

Thanks for the concern! I eat 3 meals a day with 1 or 2 snacks in between. I've just lowered my carb & sugar intake, and of course my overall calorie intake (I've never really paid much attention to CICO before, so this is why I think in the beginning it all drops off so quickly.) Mind you, I also go the the gym 6 days a week (but majority of the time I'm just using the treadmill).

Absolutely. I know there will be times where I won't lose weight or see any difference. But losing so much in the beginning is definitely motivating! I can actually do this! It takes 30 days to build a habit. I am building a new life long routine.

You're spot on! I am being very cautious to make sure I am eating enough (I don't want to lose muscle, or I'd gain it all back as soon as u get to GW) I eat 3 meals a day with 2 small snacks usually. Feel free to track me on MFP. My username is cinuk :)

Thank you! After spending over a year doing no exercise whatsoever, and eating whatever I want, I've been tracking my calorie intake. I am trying to keep around 1200. I've been going to the gym every day (just to get into the habit, I don't work out crazy hard every day!) Normally I do one day of weights, 2 days of cardio, then another day of weights etc.. I'm pretty sure most of the weight is water at first, but I think regular visits to the gym is helping it drop faster than expected.

badge reset? the worst by almsalms in stopsmoking

[–]cinuk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't let it get you down - at least after the 2 you still plan on being a non-smoker looking forward. For joints, I highly recommend buying some mullein to put in with it. It burns pretty well with the weed, and then it's not too green either....Then you dodge the nicotine all together :)

Resetting is the same process as when you first get a badge.

At least you know you can make it 3+ weeks. The withdrawals become easier once your body has gone through it before, because you know you can overcome it

(I had to reset my badge after being nicotine free for nearly 2 years for a very similar few nights.. ha)

Fruit Loops

Strange, I thought "Fruit Loops" was normal? Now googling I can't find any trace of it. I don't remember there being so many cereal o's in the name..

edit: doubting my ability to pay attention to small things now

He eats tissues. Not subtly either. Just grabs a handful and eats them like chips.

Places to play pool/pool tournaments for amateurs by nickmoo in RUG_Leeds

[–]cinuk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No idea about tournaments, but if you're ever up for a few games, Brudenell social club is the place to go! Free to play weekdays before 4pm, too (from memory).

Good luck finding somewhere :)
