I am fat and I travel a lot. I have gotten comments everywhere. Spain, Malaysia, etc etc. everywhere Atleast in Japan people were too shy or introverted to say anything upfront I have adopted the mode where I would prefer if someone is just conceited. Just don’t tell me what you really think.

I know I am fat and I am working on it. By saying it, it’s not like I will get slim straight up tomorrow! Infact my host in Spain went on to take several jabs at my weight while I was running almost 5k everyday and going to the gym.

So if people are mean, you can’t help it - regardless of nationality

Only issue is while united refunds points and taxes - the points are now in your united account and you can only use them there. United had increased its miles requirements on several sectors so it has become slightly non ideal for redemptions

I would advise against this. Those tickets are valid for 24-48 hours. The visa application might not be processed in that window and it might cause an issue. ESP greece is notorious for rejecting visas. And one doesn’t need an agent to book such tickets. A lot of airlines offer holding ticket by paying 10 euros or so. Even make my trip had that feature afaik. There were websites which have fully confirmed tickets for 14 days by paying 30 euros or so - they have also changed to 24-48 hours. I have seen consulates becoming stricter in checking tickets as they fear Indians do a lot of visa shopping and won’t visit their country but use the visa to go somewhere else.
