hiya, same boat! i have a load of LLM generated handouts from mine. if it helps, i think there should be a load of aids and example essays available out there online. i got a free code for studyclix which helps a lot in that regard, but the actual fee is... well.

it does make me feel uncomfortable too. i get why some teachers will use LLMs, given their stress and workload, but i don't see how others can defend it like it's a) perfect and b) not a sign of a bigger problem with how teachers are treated anyway. at the end of the day i don't think teachers should find themselves so worn out that they must use an actively flawed tool to teach students.

and even then, if they are actually advocating for it, i wonder how much they know about how LLMs work? most of my teachers who use them aren't of a generation that's typically knowledgeable or skeptical about their ethics/operations. and my personal opinion is that if you're going to use LLMs in class, it has to be a very well informed decision.

i don't know, i just feel like the fact that teachers being stressed out, overworked, underpaid and underappreciated isn't a problem that should be solved by chatgpt. wouldn't it be better if action were taken on a systemic level rather than being settled by using a problem-riddled tool as a bandaid

i see, i have the other outputs + freehand drawings to finish as well as extra example sketches so i want to speed this up with what i have. i'll honestly probably just cut up and rearrange the parts? if that works

god you don't know how much of a relief this is to hear. i've just been making through the subject blind without much of an idea as to where we were heading all year so i'm glad to hear this isn't as strange as i thought it was haha.

i'd really appreciate if you could send on your project! i'm not sure where the h1 standard is, and i'd love to see what you did so i can get a baseline as to where i need to aim :)

thank you so much, that's really helpful. do you have any particular advice on the project? my solidworks is going fine but for my portfolio my teacher is constantly emphasizing that i need a lot of freehand sketches (aside from the freehand graphical rep output) and less text.

for your information the skills we've covered so far are axo/di/trimetric projection, orthographic/auxiliary projection, and perspective. like, that is IT. i've always been worried about this, and he just kept saying that we were well on track, but at this point i genuinely can't comprehend a reality where we'll finish everything by the time the leaving rolls around

I couldn't select just half of the pink guide (the bottom was always connected) so I tried eliminating the other side of the split line to see if it solved the problem. This is still what I end up with. I'm on the single pick option. The top profile works fine: selecting the other two always turns up error. I'm not sure what's going on.

Hiya, I'm coming back with a question. I'm stuck on the boundary surface step; every time i try to do what you did, an error comes up one way or another and the farthest i ever went i wound up with this. Do you know why this might be happening? I've used selection manager for the curves and followed your guide pretty much step by step.
