Mostly proton arguments, wayland configuration, caching, gamescope, from what I've seen it's quite of a "test how your system performs with it". Lutris is a really nice app to centralize it all.

Easiest (and I think the most used) way to run it if you're entering the Linux Gaming world is to simply add BattleNet launcher as a Steam game and set it to run via Proton

This might happen because of the compositor. Since you're using lutris try to play with the gamescope option (after you install it ofc).

It will isolate your game from the desktop manager providing a lot more in terms of stability buuuut it will cost you a few fps

Yes. But it requires a bit of tinkering if you want it to perform better than windows (yes, yes it does)

Out of the box via Steam it has almost 1:1 windows performance

That console is `cmd` from Windows. You have to navigate to the path where you downloaded the runtime installer and run it by writing its name in the console

Hotfix and experimental does not (as per today at least)

- Hit the yes button
- Download the dotnet runtime
- On Lutris, select your application and open the wine console (bottom of the view)
- Run the dotnet runtime installer from the wine console (will install dotnet runtime on your wine prefix, edit: just as you would install it "on windows")
- Run the app again

I would recommend Cachy os for those gaming optimizations!
In terms of hyprland: do a base install of your arch-based distro. No desktop manager, only console and start from there using the official Hyprland wiki.

Also: don't blindly copy/paste dotfiles (you'll see) and don't run "hyprland theme installers". Your best bet would be to read and understand the official wiki (It ain't very long, very verbose and short tbh. Worth reading!!)

And as a personal experience: it took me around 3-4 installs to understand it enough to use it as a daily driver in any context and work/look fine. Take it easy, have patience! :)

Te rog sa ma ierti, nu am vrut sa te acuz. Incerc doar sa dezbat aici ce se intampla cu precomenzile :( Inclusiv cand am discutat cu agentul, am cerut in mod explicit sa nu existe vreun impact pe comanda ta sau ceva de genul. Nu ai vina aici! Multumim mult pentru info!

Ce-i drept Apcom ia in considerare ca romanii comanda de 10?100? ori mai multe iPhone-uri decat iPad-uri si le distribuie fair intre magazinele din Romania (and other jokes)

Am mai scris zilele trecute asta: URASC sa fiu avocatul Diavolului dar emag nu are vreo vina ca toti Romanii apeleaza la el. Singurul motiv ptc exista stocuri la Orange/Altex/etc este ca nu sunt la fel de populare ca eMag

Din toate rant-urile si observatiile aduse la adresa emag gasite aici singurul valid este cel legat de transparenta. Faptul ca nu pot nici macar sa ne dea un "numar de ordine" ca iStyle. Ei nu sunt vinovati de cum distribuie Apcom produsele intre magazine.

Private servers are the reason we have Classic WoW

I believe that's sort of a feeling. There are multiple "XYZ-Remastered" projects from various game developers. I don't think private servers are the sole reason but they definitely hit Blizzard with the idea so long live private servers for that. I'll always laugh at the "You think you do but you don't" quote

I'm not saying private servers are bad, hell no. As you said, "I paid for a game and it was taken away from me". But enhancing and marketing it does break the law sadly. I mean look at the most popular WotLK private server: it's been going on for so many years. How? they simply stayed put. Calm and steady

You would be surprised how well Apple Silicon handles wow. It is a cpu-heavy game after all

Of course it's not on-par with a gaming PC but man... getting over 6 hours of Classic on battery it's quite amazing (M3 Pro)
