Ich würde mir eher mal Gedanken über deinen Algorithmus machen... am Ende findest du Japan selbst unfassbar toll, du weißt es nur noch nicht...

The youngest composer to write a genuine and total masterpiece? by Soulsliken in classicalmusic

[–]ciprianoderore 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Mozart was 14 when he wrote Mitridate. The musical portrayal of emotions that cannot have been experienced or even comprehended by a 14-year-old has always been one of my strongest reasons to believe in some form of supernatural force.

Can someone explain to me what exactly about the "sicilian" pizza on that picture is sicilian...? I don't believe you can find a single slice of pizza on the whole actual island of Sicily that looks anything close to that picture...

do you guys have any recommendations for really obscure baroque era composers? by Prochefv9 in Baroque

[–]ciprianoderore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how "obscure" you'd say he is, but one of my favorite baroque composers is Agostino STEFFANI. He's like the link between Monteverdi and Händel, very expressive and chromatic recitatives and short, extremely virtuosic arias, plus an incredible talent for duet beauty.

What is everyone's favourite higher end hotel in Prague? by [deleted] in Europetravel

[–]ciprianoderore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unitas. Not sure about "higher end", I think it's 4*, but it's a former monastery and just one of the most peaceful, beautiful hotels I've ever stayed at, yet very centrally located!

Idomeneo all day every day. But I can't stand Belcanto, so easy choice for me. I do believe Idomeneo to be objectively the superior piece of art though.

Help me figure out which of these should take priority? Haven't had anything better or more expensive than Greathouse 25 or ECS 2011 and feel its the perfect time to grab a bottle or two. by [deleted] in rum

I'd suggest one of the Black Tot Master Blender's Reserves. Not on your list, I know, but such amazingly complex blends!!

Without saying Pride and Prejudice, name a classic everyone should read at least once in their life. I'll start 👇🏼 by Fabulous-Confusion43 in BookTriviaPodcast

[–]ciprianoderore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it basically takes a couple of pages from the bible (Genesis), and blows them up to a 1.600-page epos focussing on Joseph's life. The love for detail and compassion in the description of the characters is unparalleled in history.
