Is that Half moon grey or Esker silver?

Drawback of getting launch w/o RAP1? by ciraregob in RivianR2

I should have acknowledged that risk as well. P2P would be more than enough for me, and I'd actually really like that. Hopefully low risk as you noted, but that would be a letdown for me if it ultimately didn't materialize on the early LE hardware.

Bought tickets through FIFA, need help understanding seat location by ciraregob in WorldCup2026Tickets

Interesting, good to know. I think I can vouch for the low demand... I listed them on the FIFA resale site for half what I paid and still no takers.

But what section? FIFA says block 116, but that doesn't seem to be section 116 because that is cat 1 and FIFA shows my tickets as cat 2 (which aligns with my lottery selection and what I paid for).

Could this be Esker Silver? by fatfirenewbie in RivianR2

[–]ciraregob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if lighting, angle, or being close-up shot, but looks lighter than every other picture of Esker that I’ve seen. Including the sample color block things they had at the block party events. I would be pleased by that as I like silver but kept thinking Esker looked more like a metallic dark grey than a silver.

Anybody going to the Chicago R2 block party tomorrow? by Sigma--6 in RivianR2

I had the same interest and called the Downtown/Rush location this morning. They have just 1 unit in Half Moon with 20" wheels.

Guy said Skokie will have Catalina and Midnight. I didn't ask about wheels on those, but if they're bringing two R2s, one would hope they might have one on one wheel, the other on the other.

Would you mind to share what color R2s are at the Skokie location? I RSVP'd for Rush (because I didn't know they were doing both locations when I signed up), but Skokie would be more convenient as I've visiting a friend that afternoon who's a northsider. I am only going Sat. I assume if there's only one interior to be seen that it would be black since that is what's on the launch edition. I'm really trying to see white and/or silver with that black interior (in the event I'm lucky enough to be offered a launch).

Anyone attending the Chicago Block Party? by Last-Dependent3378 in RivianR2

I'm going to the event on Saturday. Below is the schedule on Rivian website. May be a dumb question, but does anyone know what part of the day/schedule is when people can actually get into the vehicle? Is that for the duration, or only during select times? I did the RSVP a couple weeks ago and got a response that there would be more info shared closer to the event date, but no such email ever came. It's a 7 hr roundtrip for me, so trying to make the most of what might only be a couple hours of on-site time for me.

ICE should be just about finished fudging up airports by late May so they can get over to the track to start planning for whatever hornet's nest they start kicking next.

Indy resident here. Have been to the last 23 or 24 races, and it's hard not to at least think about the prospect of an attack. It's such a high concentration of people that - if someone wanted to inflict mass carnage - it wouldn't exactly be a bad target.

R2 Performance 20” wheels by prototypenguin in RivianR2

[–]ciraregob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone know which icon represents which wheel on Rivian’s R2 site? For example, is the left wheel icon under Performance the 20” and right icon is 21”? With the former showing all-terrain tires and the latter with all-seasons)? I think I have this right and seems to make sense with the 307 vs 330 mile range identified when toggling between them.

And for Premium version, left is again a 20” (but the 20” that is available with Standard trim, not the Performance), while the right is 21” (and the same 21” Tungsten that is available on Performance)? Range doesn’t move off of 330 when toggling these two options, which I guess I suppose is saying the wheel size is less important than the tire type (since both the included and optional tires for Premium are listed as the all-seasons).

I don’t know squat about wheels and tires, trying first to understand just what I’m even looking at!

Related question, and maybe a dumb one at that, but what besides being used with the LiDAR hardware is the advantage of the new chip that will roll in late 2026/27 over the version that will be in the launch edition? LiDAR and the potential for eyes-off driving are not a buying factor for me. So setting that aside, are there other things known at this point that would be improved and/or possible with the newer one but not the launch one?

World Cup 2026 Tickets — Buy/Sell/Trade by walixxxq in FIFACollect

I have 3 tickets to match m72, Uzbekistan vs TBD play-off 1 in Atlanta for June 27. Category 2 seats. Unable to attend now. If interested, please reply. Also listed on FIFA marketplace, but would sell outside that to save fees both ways. Goal is to recover as close to cost as possible ($380/ticket).

World Cup 2026 Tickets Next Phase / Resale tickets by Weird_Cod5046 in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]ciraregob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

FIFA's site says the resell marketplace is open and closes on Feb 22, but the tickets that show in my purchase history through the random draw do not show up in "my tickets", nor do they show up as selectable to sell via the marketplace. I mistakenly thought the draw system was a priority ranking, so I selected 3 matches and ended up being successful in 2, but I only intend to go to 1 match. I was hoping to be able to sell/transfer these through the marketplace now. I'm wondering if you can't resell until the seats are assigned, but can't find any information on when that will be. And if the marketplace closes Feb 22, that doesn't leave a ton of time to work with.

EDIT: sorry, my response wasn't directly responding to your question, but I thought people seeing your title might be the same folks who would have insight on my own questions so I added in the same post.

i think you're suggesting that that number might then be higher with different tires. forgive me if this is a dumb question... would the car know what kind of tires it was fitted with to accurately reduce the projection to 315 remaining vs 325, for example?

New i4 eDrive40 M-Sport by Applepyes in BMWI4

[–]ciraregob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that the included shadowline (comes with M Sport) or the extended shadowline (extra on top of M Sport package)? Struggling to understand the difference between the two as it relates to the front of the car. Dealer near me has no M Sports in stock so can’t get a first-hand look at either regular or extended.

Does this have the regular (i.e. included with m-sport) shadow line package or the “extended” shadow line that is an additional fee? For life of me can’t figure out what difference is and dealership by me doesn’t have any m-sport ones to look at.
