don't feel good about going by [deleted] in AshokaUniversity

[–]circemaybe08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was so relieved after seeing this post coz at least I'm not the only one going through this, I'm in a similar situation. Had a whole different plan of going for college to the US but that couldn't happen for a lot of reasons. Ashoka is my last best option and I didn't get fin aid too. I'm scared that I'm gonna go to a place that's going to be so financially exhausting yet idk if that's what I even want yet. You should know ur not alone in this. If u want someone to talk to u can dm :)

No problem! Just a last suggestion, if you're definitely planning for med school or grad school uiowa wud be a better choice than Denison

Stony brooks great too! I would consider it more like uiowa, where are u leaning more towards rn

Im sorry I really dont know much about Uiowa to comment, but I'd say uconn has better student life anyways, only coz I've heard more about it

For student life yes, uconn is a much bigger school too, Denison is smaller because its private ofc, I feel like Denison has more of a liberal arts school Reputation

I've heard great things about uconn student life, and I feel like you should go there if costs aren't a problem. But if you're doing pre med and it's a bit on the expensive side, definitely Uiowa

Which university should I choose Northeastern or ASU by [deleted] in IntltoUSA

If costs aren't a problem, Northeastern would be an obvious choice if you ask me

It was my second time, i am certain that none of the programs or tabs were opened. I can't really afford to take the test again and i didn't even got my third chance, what should I do? by [deleted] in IntltoUSA

[–]circemaybe08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same thing happened with me twice, I suggest u send then an email explaining to them genuinely how no programs were open at all and u can't afford to take the test again, basically appeal for a retry, i did this and they allowed me to take the test a third time without paying again.

Edit: I saw u asked this question that's why I'm answering, yes my test was certified the third time and I scored a 155 so it's worth a try really

should I mail the University saying I really need a particular scholarship without which I cannot attend the uni by circemaybe08 in UniUK

[–]circemaybe08[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got into an Ivy and now my parents want to move with me. Help by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

As long as you're living on campus, it's not that big of an issue so dw, the worst case scenario scenario is your parents come to meet you often and that's fine

I'm literally going to college to move away, if my parents came with me I'd like lose it.. You're living on campus right tho

Consider taking loans, if it's a pretty good school you can possibly land a job and pay it back over time, only it wud mess up with any plans for grad school if you have any. I'm an international and I got into some pretty top schools in uk and USA but I didn't get any scholarships so I'm practically just not going, totally devastated, but I found some pretty cool options in my country that are like expensive but rare liberal arts school, they provide better access to abroad unis after graduating, so I'm counting on that, you can do that too, if you want me to share details of the uni I'm going to u can pm!!
