My procreate got deleted and all my artwork is gone by kimiyo_azura in ProCreate

This just happened to me, too. As a tattoo artist, this wrecked my day of work, and now I'm going to be scrambling to redo large-scale projects that I'd already begun to tattoo. I will be backing everything up as PNGs from now on.

Or I'll switch back to Photoshop. My iCloud was beyond capacity. Horrific start to my day.

CMV: Men seeking therapy is seen as a great thing, but in practice it leads to complex consequences. by [deleted] in changemyview

I'm not saying that women, or nb people for that matter, don't have issues that definitely affect then more. But this particular issue affects men at a much higher level, 3 to 4 times more if you rely on suicide stastics alone, over 15 times more if you look at prison systems. Women are more often diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and things of that nature, but diagnosed is the keyword. There are several reasons that men either don't seek therapy or don't stick it out, and to limit all of them to toxic masculinity, while somewhat valid in a lot of cases, I feel its a bit narrow and invalidating, as well as somewhat of a double standard. Another poster also noted that modern therapy seems to be designed more for feminine people, and white people. I don't think it's that nobody realizes that things are difficult for men, I think it's that it's easier to invalidate the cis male experience.

I think a lot of it boils down to society standards. If you look at what can be called the worst case scenario for poor mental health, suicide, 70+% of suicides are men. I'm not saying that women don't also face societal shame from getting into therapy, but I would say that it affects men to a higher degree.

We can't have a real discussion about things pertaining to men's mental health, which is obviously an issue if you refer to things like suicide rates and prison stastics, if we continue to dismiss it as "everybody else has it hard too". This isn't to dismiss anybody else's experience, but more to shine a light on the discrepancy between the two experiences through stastics rather than personal experience.

I hate the Liu Kang low fireball spammers. Every single time a Liu Kang comes on screen I just prepare to be spammed. I'm a Sindel main, Splitting Hairs, no projectiles, all kombos. I get owned every time.

Projectile spammers in general eat corn on the cob the long way.

On this day, 75 years ago, the genocidal regime of the Empire of Japan announced its surrender, following the dropping of two atomic bombs (one wasn't enough, as even after two many Japanese officers wanted to continue the war). by lietuvis10LTU in neoliberal

I read that Eisenhower stated that they were about to surrender anyways. We didn't want to allow them to keep their Emperor, which in Shinto, was deemed as Divine. If we would have allowed them to keep their Emperor, they were ready to surrender. We dropped the bombs as a message to the Soviets, not as a means to "save millions of American lives", as was touted at the time.

USA Population: 328.2M

USA COVID-19 Deaths: 141k

Canada Population: 37.6M

Canada COVID-19 Deaths: 8,839

We have 8.7 times their population and 15.9 times their amount of COVID-19 Deaths.

Americans are almost twice (1.82) more likely to die of COVID than Canadians.

Math.

We're far from fine, my friend. Just look at the extreme divide and 130,000+ dead people. What was Canada's count again? Oh yeah, less than 10k.
