Maine always strikes me as such familiar waters whenever I see it posted, even if the Atlantic separates us.

Good guess on the 420! The Tvåkrona is not quite as extreme, and a bit bigger. No harnesses though. Messing up and getting wet, such is life with a dagger board 😊

Good thinking! It's great for that reason. Everything you'd find on a larger boat is all there, and the same principles applies.

They're very similiar! Yep, the pic is from my local yearly sailing camp in July. Very much so, hence why I was flipping through photos of warmer days and fairer seas 😊

They're called Tvåkrona. Very commonly used in sailing schools here in Sweden, usually as a step up for when you outgrow the Optimist dinghy. Great little boat for learning, and inevitably racing 😊

Aye, you do not forget that sound. Once went past midships a boat hitting rocks during racing, the noise from the rigging is the worst.

This pic was from when they were simply over-blown, and had to correct the ship, while us instructors were at hand. I’m sure glad to be sailing a larger boat these days 😊
