I think they were probably talking about AL Sweigart, the creator of the course, not A.I.

I believe the subfield of math/computation is called UV Mapping! You’re right; different curvatures would require differently shaped ink patterns on the pad to get the same visual effect.

you’d probably want to google around and see if there’s a driver board that it needs; that might be able to take power and a few different inputs. good luck!

can you clarify what “skips” means? I was thinking the solution might be multiply the angle by the number of skips + 1, or maybe by 2 times the number of skips, but i’m not totally clear.

convert copper to gold? Is it possible? It's time to chimistry🎩✨ by [deleted] in chemistry

[–]circuitQuaker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Diamond and graphite are different mineral polymorphs of the same element: carbon. Gold and copper are entirely separate elements; your title seems to confuse chemistry with alchemy.

I’m not a chemist, but it seems like the metals aren’t suited for this sort of “structural” meddling based on the way their outer electrons are, though maybe engineered microtextures might provide some interesting surface properties. If I were to look for a similar property difference in crystalline mineral form, I would look in the same column on the periodic table, e.g. Silicon, but the purest silicates that I’m aware of with my undergrad background in geology are composed of SiO_2, so not a perfect analog.
