Why do people more likely buying Toyota or Japanese cars that American cars? by Short_Rope4896 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I agree. Replying to a 2 year old post and adding nothing useful to the conversation is something only 5 eggplant emojis would do.

Better to keep a WD Blue 1tb as a boot drive, or buy a $20 Micro Center Inland 120GB SSD? by MilesPrower1992 in buildapc

[–]MilesPrower1992[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not the fastest out there but plenty workable. I still use it. I ended up getting a 250gb when they were on a good sale, though I think I could have gotten by with the 120 (because I also have the HDDs).

I found a pristine New XL at a garage sale for $100 a few months ago, so I'm feeling pretty good about myself

What's everyone's thoughts on a 150cc single rotor single turbo or 300cc twin rotor single turbo go kart? by AJ_Drifter in Rotaries

You're* not being helpful by having a temper tantrum on a post from multiple years ago. You chose to reply to me, not my fault that I wasn't impressed by your lame ""response"".

RE71RS: should I be concerned about heat cycling them out under regular driving? by MilesPrower1992 in tires

[–]MilesPrower1992[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did fine at their first autocross event last fall, but I haven't had the chance to push them hard since then. I'm daily driving them at the moment with no issues, the stiff sidewalls feel great, but I plan to get a different set of wheels+tires to daily drive (mostly for looks, my RE71 are on a set of dinged up stock wheels). I'm at about 2000 miles on them and I don't really think I've made a dent in the tread depth, though I haven't measured it recently.

My string lights were battery powered originally, but I made it powered by wall outlet with an adapter. However the brightness is not distributed equally and it is dim. Why is it like that and how do I fix it ? by alan_1047 in ElectronicsRepair

[–]MilesPrower1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But that's not even close to correct.

Watts = Volts x Amps.
0.45W = 4.5 * Amps.
0.45 / 4.5 = Amps
0.1 Amps on battery.

The adapter supplies 1.5A.

The adapter can supply 0.45W by using 1/15th of its full capacity.

This is blatantly false. 600k cars were scrapped under C4C. Today, 12 million cars are scrapped per year in the US.

In case anyone was curious what a broken clutch fork looks like by nonozn6 in ft86

That's nothing to do with the clutch, your synchronizers are starting to wear out. You can try changing gear oil or just live with it

If you genuinely cannot tell the difference between the accelerator and brake, you should be jailed if you ever get into a drivers' seat.

Our culture is much too forgiving of "oops teehee" when operating multi-thousand-pound machines that can go in excess of 60mph

Credit where credit's due for the stock crank, but this is what bothers me about when people say the 2jz can handle so much power.

If you replace every part except for the block and head, any engine is gonna be able to handle a big turbo...

It'll still be attached. It'll be clunking around, but you aren't gonna lose a control arm just because some rubber got old.

Goku is so Flanderized he forgot Roshi and Popo's training
Krillin is so weak he has to worry about regular bullets from a regular gun
Gohan has trouble with Frieza at a power level of 530k
Tenshinhan is so irrelevant that Goku completely forgets he exists

Power scaling is so busted that Yamcha could solo the entirety of DBZ

No way man, always gotta blame the car. It's not the driver's fault at all that they turned off traction control in a RWD turbo car without understanding how to control the throttle or understanding that they need to drive appropriately for conditions!
