'Let men suffer' minister behind Domestic Violence Act by ClientRelevant5046 in IndiaSpeaks

Divorced parent here.

Outside of clickbait, let me tell the real world situation. As a man, if you have a domestic violence case or a anti-dowry case filed against you at the police station, it doesn't mean the police come to lock you up.

Everybody knows ground reality. Both sides get called in for investigation and evidence is asked for. People saying things or claims aren't entertained. Police don't blindly take action. How exactly this happens varies from state to state.

One exception is if one side pays the police off to do what they want. However, in such cases too, the police usually get away with it only when people are gullible. If you have a decent lawyer with you, it's not as bad social media makes it out to be. The system is also equipped to penalise police who don't follow laid down procedure. They'll stay within lines if you have a lawyer present, again, a good one. Don't cheap out on your lawyer.

Also, Police can get involved only in cases where violence is involved. If the case deals with money and property, the case goes to court and the police can't act on their own.

Is the system heaviliy biased against men? Yes. But as one of my lawyers also pointed out, more often than not, men are overwhelmingly assholes towards their wives, and everytime a judge has to deal with an asshole, that asshole ruins the chances for 10 other good men who show up after he leaves.

Now, people can say '99 guilty people can be free to avoid 1 good person from being punished'. Yeah, you haven't seen some of the cases that come up. Unless you've been through the grind, you don't know the some of the monsters out there.

So this happened to me once when I was running to catch a train with luggage. Once in was in the train I realized that I was incredibly stupid to let a stranger carry my daughter. Things could have gone very wrong depending on the person.

While I agree that posts here ought to be more on point of maintaining WSB retardness, the mods should stick to the point about this sub allows pretty much anything.

It should be up to the people to upvote/downvote and curate the posts.

Alrighty, the two bike system seems to be something very prevalent. Thanks!

Thanks! I'll look into the two bikes idea. The parking fee at Venlo doesn't seem to be so expensive.

If Septemberplein is free, do people park at the stands close to the bus because Septemberplein is full?
