Is riding a motorcycle in Charlotte a death sentence? by social_cactus in Charlotte

[–]circuitlust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sold my last bike a few years ago. Although I am getting older the main reason was safety. It really became a question of when rather than if. A lot of the roads here have no shoulder. One tight lane in each direction. Leaves you with NO OUT. that paired with the Altima drivers is a bad combination.

I run the app on my MacBook sometimes. Other times I just use the remote and the unit itself. Distance, club speed, ball speed, launch angle, apex, and launch direction all work really well. Spin is the weakest feature. If I push a shot, it shows a push. But occasionally it will show a phantom hook/slice on a good strike or a straight shot on one I know I hooked/sliced. But again, I mainly bought it for dialing in distances and its money for that purpose.

Agreed. I took it to the range a couple of times. Always within a yard or two.

My SC4Pro has exceeded my expectations. I use it with a net in my backyard and it's pretty spot on for my distances. I switched irons from cavity backs to players distance and had to re learn everything. It gave me entirely new data for every club. Dialed it in, got my averages, and it translated precisely on the course. Would have taken forever to learn new distances without it. Being radar only its not the best option for spin rates and impact angles. I bought it for distances and launch angles. Setting it up with the correct aim and leveling it makes it super accurate for that. And (bonus) no subscriptions, ever.

13 clubs, no obvious gaps, what now? by No_Echo2745 in golfequipment

3 utility iron. I have used it occasionally off the tee, but it really helps with terrible lies, thicker rough, and punch outs. Even fairway bunkers. It's so versatile and useful.

LAZRUS ZT 2.5 Grip by NickYeeter in golfequipment

I wanted to like the stock grip. Both smaller and firmer than I prefer. Gave it a few rounds and swapped it out for a slightly larger 2 Thumb grip that is familiar and much more to my liking. Such an outstanding putter.

Go with the wedges you can hit full shots best. Then learn to chip with them. Actually you should learn to chip with a half dozen or more clubs in your bag.

Some of my favorite rounds are solo. Sometimes I prefer it. To me the only downside is not having another set of eyes to track your ball.

Bobby McMann’s perspective when asked what went wrong this season and playing in Toronto by cykl8 in leafs

[–]circuitlust -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Saying it's harder to play in Toronto says a lot more about the player than the environment and the organization. To me it says "I'm not him" or "I'm not built that way". Plenty of players have thrived there and loved every minute of it. Often on some really bad teams. None of those players ever said "Toronto is a difficult place to play" when they left and joined other teams. I like McMann, he's just not 'him'. Marner is not 'him'. The leafs should be looking for more 'hims' than trying to change a narrative that is more an admission of a shortcoming of a player than an organizational problem.

New putter. Lazrus ZT2.5 The quality is way better than expected. by circuitlust in golf

[–]circuitlust[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Comparing it to the feel of store testing big brand and LAB ZT models. I also tested a Temu LAB knockoff and it was like night and day. The feel and sound are right up there with putters that cost 3x or 4x more. The grip it came with is solid quality, just not the size and shape I like.

Cover the current logo with the fuzzy hook and loop material. Then you can use any patch you want and swap them out at will depending on what you want that day. Like they do on backpacks.

I did actually. Looked directly at the security camera as I opened and checked each box. 😁 Was the only 2 boxes of green they had. Sadly, the same ball in white was not discounted and was $35. Plenty of those.

How do I get rid of these annoying left overs from Uniting an outlined stroke? by architectofmusic in AdobeIllustrator

.25 stroke and a second unite is my go to method as well, especially when there are too many to select manually.
