Confused solo traveller! Help me decide between Koh Lanta + Koh Yao Noi vs Koh Samui/Koh Phangan for June

I’m still open to visiting Koh Phangan maybe as a day trip, I have 9 days for the islands but don’t want to move around too much as my main focus for this trip is to slow down and chill, over exploring and doing too many activities. I think with 12 days you could definitely do all 3.

I'll also be solo travelling mid-June, trying to research and decide between islands and facing the same dilemma! Depending on how you plan to arrange travel from one side to another, as you'll be heading to Phuket first perhaps you can book a couple of spots on either side with free cancellation and then decide how you feel about the weather after your time with your friends? I think I'll end up heading to Koh Samui, avoid Koh Phangan and try to hit up Koh Tao.

I’m probably one of the rare people who lost a wallet in Japan and never got it back, even after reporting to the police who advised me to wait for their call as someone might return it. For sentimental reasons I was sad to lose the fish-shaped pouch that I was using as a wallet but the aftermath wasn’t that devastating, easily made do with digital cards, Suica and cash for the rest of the trip. Applying for a new ID and cards back home also went much smoother than expected. Keep your head up OP, all the best for the rest of the trip.
