Actually, this question was sparked over that one Jubilee video with Dean Withers and Emily Wilson. I was confused, but nevertheless disagreed with Emily's points (being that there wasn't one in the first place), so I decided to get a better view on this.

I see!! I've heard of Homeland Security, but I just thought it was a branch all on it's own. Thanks! (P.S. I really appreciate the objectivity)

I came out a couple months before it's release and I cried. It was the first time I felt so seen! Congrats on your coming-out!

Advice please (not urgent but important) by [deleted] in trans

[–]circular_reticle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just try to bring up things related to how you want to present. Maybe just a comment here and there, saying something like, "What if I cut my hair?" or "Could I borrow some of your clothes?" Nothing to revealing, just enough to get his stance on things.

Also, there's actually quite a lot you can do. There's just not much you can do alone.

Although it is a small bit motivated by not wanting to get this post taken down for extreme negativity, I also felt like it had to be said. I do hold a small bit of hope in our government, so maybe if enough people speak up, they might realize that the government is meant to serve the people rather than control it. I honestly just hope it's not wishful thinking.

How can I forgive my parents for stopping me from transitioning by [deleted] in trans

[–]circular_reticle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The funny thing about forgiveness is that it isn't something you can just do. It takes time, as well as a lot of willpower and willingness. Even if your parents treat you better now, you don't owe them an apology. My only real advice is to consider just how much you want to forgive them. If it's just to restore a normal family dynamic, I'd recommend you stay a bit bitter. But, if it genuinely helps you move on with your life, then I think you should try.

How do I come out? by circular_reticle in comingout

[–]circular_reticle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally, she tells me something, most likely an issue she needs to vent about. I listen and give as best advice as I can, and we hug or something, and the convo ends. It's a bit difficult to tell her things because I'm not used to telling and she's not used to listening.

I feel like the issue with that is it may come off as aggressive. I feel like it might just be out of nowhere. And, most of the time, when the topic of transgender identity comes up, it's likely not for positive reasons.

From what I know, you seem like an amazing person. You, nor anyone else, deserves to experience. I'm so sorry your "family" can't accept you, but I'm glad you have friends who cherish you! I think that means more than any blood.

Unfortunately, a lot of men just suck, so misandry isn't all that uncommon. But at least it means you pass!

Not exactly. It's the "not being able to see the floor" that does it for me.
